One thing leads to another.
I actually have a small fan that sits here on my nightstand but hubby had it in the garage to clean and oil it.
So I took the red roses out of this vase and put a combination of roses that I think looks softer and prettier.
I love to surround myself with beautiful things..
a pretty lamp, stack of old books (mostly poetry), seashells, an angel and dried rose petals.
Just a little change can make all the difference, don’t you think?
It’s Florida…make a spot for the fan! heehee!
(and now that I’ve looked at my photos, I wonder if I should go to the craft store and buy ‘new’ flowers for this vase…maybe a flower with smaller blooms. Hhhhhhmmmm!)
I’m joining Katherine’s Corner for Favorite things HERE!

I definitely think having pretty things around makes me happy. At this point in life, (Meno) the fan is an absolute necessity! :)
Fans are very important in the south aren't they Diane? I love to see pretty tableaus...they just give the heart a lift.
I love pretty things and they do make me happy to look at them but oh yes to the fan!!

Looks lovely!
Waking up to pretty things, too, does help to get the day off to a nice start--and so does blog reading. Have a wonderful week.
Hello, your vase and flowers are beautiful. It is nice to surround yourself with pretty things. The fan is great to have too though, lol! Happy Monday, enjoy your new week ahead!
Pretty things - pretty dreams, though a fan would be a useful thing on a Florida night!

Delightful Handwork
Adorable. I love the hearts. They are so delicate and beautiful. I found you through Poofing the Pillows.
I think you did a beautiful job decorating your table. You have all the important things in my eyes. You have a lamp, books to read for a nice evening and flowers to make the table look warm and inviting.
You have definitely surrounded yourself with charm and beauty, my friend.
Have a glorious day! Hugs!
I agree with being surrounded by beautiful things and I think you have done a great job of that on your nightstand. It's especially important to see beauty when one first wakes up. Also important to feel the cooling breezes of a fan on a hot summer night.
I'm curious to know what kind of shells are those that look a bit like a heart? I've never seen them before. How pretty!
A very pretty vignette, Diane! Love those heart shaped seashells! Such a pretty dish and lamp, too <3, and of course I love the angel. xx Karen
Hi Diane, such a pretty table with lovely treasures. Love the little bird topping the arrangement. Thanks for sharing. xo
