Snowmen in Florida!

Snowmen? In FLORIDA?

DSCN0809

Yes, I left a few out to enjoy this month.

DSCN0811

We don’t actually get snow this far South but I know many of you are dealing with snow and bitter cold temps right now! Stay warm and safe!

PEACE!

I went to Dillard’s to see what they had left in clearance and found 2 of these beautiful plates, Made in Portugal. (and I REALLY needed them! haha)

I’m joining Mosaic Monday HERE.

Your snowmen are sweet. It is 16 degrees here right now and the snow has stayed. We are house bound for a few more days here in the country. The weather is suppose to start warming up on Wed.

I would happily send you a few feet of snow Diane.LOL. Sweet snowmen. I think most of the country has too much snow or rain right now. Enjoy your day. xo

Awww cute little snowfolks. Good thing they are unmeltable, and so adorable. Our snow is finally melting and we are back to good old Pacific Northwest rainy winter. Your new plates are so pretty - and perfect for this new year. Hope your week is super wonderful my dear friend.

Diane, I love the things you have left out for the month of January. I sure hope it doesn't snow there. This weather continue to be crazy. It's single digits lots here and next week may reach 60. Is that nuts? Blessings to you and yours , hope your days are sunny. xoxo, Susie

obviously, you didn't get the white stuff that the Carolinas did! I would love your snowmen rather than the icey stuff we got. XOXO

I've always stated that there is a difference between Christmas decorations and Winter decorations. I love your "winter" decorations and where did you get that cute white squirrel? Also, do you have storage units? LOL! Your house always looks so nice and I wonder where you put all these decorations when they're out of season. LOL!

Diane, I just saw you on our friend, Carla's blog, for her sweet snowmen giveaway! I'm not able to comment on her posts any more for some reason, so I always go through e-mail. Your snowmen are so cute, and I think it's a great idea to leave them out for these cold January days. What a great find at Dillard's, and made in
Portugal, even better. It looks pretty on your shelf, and Peace is such a special word.

Have a nice week, Diane.

love, ~Sheri

I love all of your winter lovelies, Diane! I think I heard on the news that Florida was the only state that did not have snow! You can always make winter happen inside though, right?? Enjoy your "winter wonderland"! Hugs!

Yes, it is cold and we have lots of snow here in the northeast but I only have a couple of snowmen on display this year. I guess I'm winter weary already. Your snowmen are really cute! Have a great week!

Hello, I love your cute Florida snowmen. Your peace plate is lovely, great find. Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!

I leave the snowmen out, too. Although, today I moved the largest one to make room for my amaryllis that is getting too big. Lovely plates. A girl can never have too many plates! Happy New Year!

I am happy to see your winter decorations. I think that snowmen are a nice winter décor for any state. I love your plates, and I think that you needed them!

Our temperatures here have been 3 and 5 degrees in the mornings. That would not be so bad, but our furnace was having issues. We would have to shut it off and on to keep it running. Finally, today the furnace man came and put in a new heat sensor. Now we can be happy!

Ha! Well I just wrote next Friday's blog post before coming here. Great minds, as they say. All about snowmen and the library!! I even still have my tree up, but no ornaments, just the lights because they help cheer up a dreary, gray, cold January. :-)

Judith @ Lavender Cottage said...

There's nothing wrong with snowmen in Florida, perhaps a few snowflakes too? lol
No end to the snow this year but another 3 weeks and we'll be in the sunshine state. I just hope the drive will be OK as many states are getting a lot of snow too, places where they're not used to driving in it.
I'm sure the new plates will be put to good use!

Cranberry Morning said...

Well well! I see that I had already commented on this post. I think I've been way too busy. And now I'm wondering if your post is what put library and snowmen into my head! If so, thanks. :-)) Hope you're having a good week, Diane. xo

Cute snowmen, Diane. It's fun to have wintry things out in January - even if you don't have any snow! We rarely do, either! But it's COLD here these days.
Love the plate - of course you needed it!

I decorate with snowmen in January. I think yours are cute!

I bring out my snow folk after the Santas go down and keep them up through February. They're cheery! You have a beautiful collection of very charming ones -- great faces, good details. You have a wonderful collecting eye.

And the Peace plates are wonderful!

Such sweet snowmen! We had very cold temps a couple of days, but are back into sunny 60s. We do need moisture however! Enjoy your week!

You should leave your snowmen out, after all, its' winter. We've seen snow in Florida, but it did not amount to anything. None the less, lovely big flurries.

BeachGypsy said...

love your plates! I put away Christmas but did leave out a few snowmen for the remainder of the winter. They will go with valentines decor here in a couple weeks, right? so glad they cold spell has nearly worked its way on through here.....and back up into the 70s we go....just like I like it in January! LOL
