Rainbow Clouds

I know there's a proper name for these clouds but I'm not sure what it is.

And I knew you would want to walk with me to the neighborhood pond on this special night!

Have you ever seen such unusual clouds?

I had to make myself go home!

It was getting darker but the clouds kept their color.

So I walked home and stood in the driveway and watched the color diminish.

Time to go to bed now and have sweet cotton candy dreams!

I'll announce the winner of my giveaway Wednesday! There's still time to enter on the post HERE!

Happy Labor Day!  🌈

I’m joining Mosaic Monday HERE.

Diane, I love your cloud pictures. I posted some yesterday on my blog. I sent a pic I took last night to my daughter and she said "cotton candy" on her reply. LOL. I think your shots are pretty love the rainbow effect. Blessings for a fun day there. Love, xoxo, Susie

incredibly beautiful skies -- I always think we have lovely ones in Fort myers, but I've never seen anything like those clouds. No wonder you didn't want to go in.

Like you (in your comment on mine), we are praying and hoping that this current storm goes away before it hits land. (I'd love to have a home to come back to in November :>(

I appreciate these shots so much, first because it is nice to know somewhere has blue skies and second, they are simply amazing. I can understand why you had to make yourself go home!

That is a stunning night sky and no mistake, I can see so many images in the clouds, like you I would have stood transfixed until the light completely faded.
Great to have you back with me for MM again!

I have never seen clouds like that and I am an avid cloud watcher! So unusual and beautiful. So glad you have a good camera to capture it! Also, you are so right...I was thinking of cotton candy too! Stay safe with that Irma possible coming your way...be prepared just in case.
P.S. I love the Open Library but I cannot get it to download to my Kindle. Are you able to get it on yours? I get an error. I have no trouble with Amazon downloads. Thanks if you can help.
