We drove over to the Gulf Coast a few days ago and it felt great to take a little day trip.
We had an errand to run in that direction so we drove a little farther to “The Ozello Trail” as it twists and turns through St. Martin’s Aquatic Preserve, a 23,000-acre wildlife preserve.
It was a beautiful day but the two lane road was not busy at all so we enjoyed the sights along the way.
My hubby was driving 55 mph and I rolled my window down to take pics.
I just kept taking them hoping something would come out.
Hoping they would not all just be a big blur!
But guess what!
They all turned out good so I've had a time trying to figure out which ones to share.
We're going over the bridge now so stay tuned!
I'll show some of the birds we saw in my next post!
I'm thankful to live in such a beautiful place!

i have done the drive by shooting many times, but not in many years now. my favorite is the last one, i love the marsh and it has been beautiful weather the past few weeks. we had frost on the roof and grass and icy windshield when we walked Beau today. i was so cold, i did not do my second walk, it said 38 but if felt colder to me
Seeing Florida through your camera lens is a treat. You get awesome photos, even at 55 MPH.
...a beautiful day and keep on having many more.
It is beautiful, indeed. I would have never guess these shots were taken in a fast moving car. Good job, Diane.
I went to some places on the coast when I was in Tallahassee working, St Georges Island comes to mind and St Marks not to mention Wakulla Springs where I got eaten my mosquitoes
SO lovely!
Thank you for the sunny beauty today!
Very nice photos. The sky is beautifully blue. The grasses so golden.
The sky is always beautiful in Florida. I miss it. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.
Lovely photos.
I'm glad nothing slithering pop out of the water. :)

The photos are amazing. I would never have known you took them in the car.
What nice shots, can't wait to see more!
Those skies are wonderful. So blue with white fluffy clouds. I enjoy your Thankful Thursday posts each and every time, Diane. : )

Wow, your photos are beautiful. I would have never known they were taken from a moving car.
The and scenery are just gorgeous! Take care, enjoy your day!
Beautiful photos, Diane. I love those golden grasses and the blue sky dotted with clouds. What a lovely drive.
Diane, A nice drive with the window down would be heavenly to me. I miss the trips to the park Ted and I were taking. You do have some wonderful places to hike there in Florida. Blessings, xoxo, love, Susie
Some great photos there, especially to be taken while riding. Not blurry at all! Really pretty and different looking there. We have such amazing geography here!
You got some wonderful pictures!
These are all excellent for moving along at 55 miles per hour. I just love that last one
That really is a beautiful place, Diane. How lucky that you can get out and enjoy it year round. Not something we can do here. I am walking two miles a day on the treadmill in my unheated garage...and let me tell you- I wear gloves because it is so cold walking there.
Lovely photos! I love all that grass.
Such a beautiful, peaceful place! Love seeing those wide-open spaces with the pretty tufts of grass, waterways and green trees. Looking forward to seeing your photos when you 'landed'! x K
Te quedaros una fotografías preciosas. Muchos besos.
You must have a wonderful camera, to have such beautiful pictures taken from a fast-moving car. They are just gorgeous! ~Andrea xoxo
they are ALL so beautiful!! i am a little surprised at that speed they are all in focus!!
we passed some pretty scenes the other day, snow scenes, but i did not ask the hubs to stop and i did not think they would come out. now i am sorry!!!
What a wonderful day! I'm impressed with your camera and steady hands. Your gorgeous shots came out so very clear. It's time for the Husband and me to go drive a back country road so I can hang out the window with my camera. Digital cameras are a godsend to the pocketbook. Cheers!
I am going to put this place on our bucket list for when we start traveling again. I am really looking forward to visiting Florida again one day. Your photos are beautiful!
You certainly do live a beautiful place and great photos you took from the car window as hubby drove ~ Wonderful!

Your photographs are all so lovely.
It certainly looks a great day and outing :)
All the best Jan
Beautiful photos of a beautiful place.
I had to scroll up and down a few times to pick a favorite, before deciding on the one from the bridge of the island in the river.
Have a blessed day!
Howdy there girlfriend, wow, look at that beautiful BLUE SKY!! SO PRETTY. And those big open spaces.......plenty of room to walk/run/stretch out. Freedom! What y'all got planned this weekend, any adventures? I think it may still be rainy here, so not sure but usually we don't let rain stop us unless it's a TOTAL DOWNPOUR. ha ha LOL. I sure am ready for spring but I cant complain really as we have all the pretty flowers blooming for us and it's really not too cold here like way up North and all that snow and cold. Happy weekend! Hugs!!! ps--thanks for the bird i.d.!! I think you were right and THEY HAVE BABIES!! (fledgelings, we think) I WILL TRY TO GET PICTURES.
What a lovely trip! I enjoyed it! Open water, and palm trees!!!!
The skies are so beautiful. I haven't gotten out early enough to take pictures of the sunrises yet, and still wanting to do that. Nature is so lovely and peaceful and pure, isn't it? I'm glad you had a nice day at The Ozello Trail, Diane, and you got some good pictures from your drive.
