Florida in February!

We start seeing flowers and flowering trees in the month of February here in Florida. We even have a fair amount of pollen already.

But it's beautiful!

And we love it!

Most of these were taken at Blue Run Park in Dunnellon, a nice place to spend a day any time of the year.

We usually go once a week and take a hike!

I hope everyone is seeing their weather improve now.

A few of the birds we saw that day.

(Anhinga, Red-shouldered Hawk and White Ibis)

How are you doing on this fine Monday morning?

Have you been able to get outside and walk any?

I'm joining Angie for Mosaic Monday HERE .

I'm linking with All Seasons at the Jesh Studio,

AND my Monday post HERE.

Our weather is certainly improving but it worries me that we will have another very cold spell and lots of damage will be caused by it.
Lovely set of photos. Keep safe, Diane

Such gorgeous photos Diane! I lived in Ocala for a few years back in the early 90s but never saw the kinds of things you seen. It sure makes me wish I would have been into getting out hiking when I was there.

Walk?

-chuckle-

Nope!!!!!

Ice and snow, mainly ice, does not allow that. Well, for us in our 80's that is. People do walk on the road, but they walk all year long. -smile-

Flowers and pollen already. Ours are still slumbering, under their winter blanket. -smile-

And so am I!!!!! -smile-

When I looked outside my front window, when I got up, it looks VERY icy out there. Our spring thaw is starting this week, with 8 of the next 10 days forecast to get above freezing. When I looked outside before bed last night, the HUGE snowflakes were coming down. I have a hunch those started to melt today but can't quite turn all the way to liquid and thus froze. I think I'll be staying inside today... a broken or twisted ankle doesn't sound appealing to me. *haha* I'll enjoy nicer weather through you & your gorgeous pictures. Thank you for them. ~Andrea xoxo

Gorgeous photos from your hikes, Diane. We walked yesterday in a local park, and saw some signs of spring. So encouraging.

The snow and ice are gone!!! The snow and ice are gone!!! The temperature is going up to 53 (F) today and 62 (F) tomorrow and I feel like a bird that has been let out of a cage! I know spring isn't really here but I am so happy I could dance. Well, no, I won't dance but I am going outside and taking a walk.

So enjoyable to see the Florida sights, especially at this time of year. While I know our weather is mild compared to many areas, we have had an unusually cold and rainy winter this year.
I'm working from home today as it rains outside. I will be popping in a walking DVD later to add a few steps.

It's so nice that you both get out for those lovely walks. It snowed today and it's been like that here every other day! I can't wait for spring. Hope you have a nice week Diane.

We had three beautiful winter weeks. But now it thaws and are wet and dirty. Will take some time for it to dry up.

It was nice to see the birds in the last msoaics. Special ones all three.

Am happy I can enjoy your flowers, Diane:) We are not there yet, lol. Today was my first successful grocery shopping. The only thing they did not have was sweet potatoes and whipped cream:)Enjoyed the beauty shown in your post thoroughly, and I know it will be the same for the All Season-ers, especially the ones who live in the more Northern regions! Have fun hiking this week, Jesh

I could get used to a February like that. No wonder so many people head south for the winter.

Wonderful pictures!! You really have some beautiful places to walk. I wish we could get out to more places than our normal walking place, but hubby is a creature of habit...what can I say? At least we get out every day, weather permitting, which is good, even if it is a short walk, it is better than nothing. I love your pictures...February in Florida is beautiful. We certainly are blessed to live here!!

Diane - pollen! Imagine! Right now it is snow that is dusting my porch, not pollen! Spring will come to Montana, when it's good and ready. For right now, I am happy to see it through your eyes! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday, my friend!

Oh no!!!??--the pollen has landed? Yikes, that means it's on it's way here as well, LOL! That stuff is so agravating and yucky and GETS ON EVERYTHING, ha ha. Love the pretty pictures especially the bridge and the mushroom. Hope your weekend was great, the rain finally stopped and we spent all day Sunday OUT IN THE GLORIOUS SUNSHINE and sure loved the sun and the fresh air. Hubby worked on the garden and got onions and carrots in. Have a great week and make lots of pictures okay please? Hugs!

Winter here in Vermont thus far, has been cold enough that when the temp rises above freezing, it feels like spring.
Stay safe

Love you Spring flowers! We are snowbound here in Pennsylvania.

Good Morning Diane, So nice to see your spring blooms. My tulips are just starting to pop through the ground, but by the backdoor where the dryer vent keeps things warmer my tulips are 5 or 6 inches high. I was surprised at the boat on the water and then I had to remember you're in Florida there is no time of year when you can't go boating . . . that's so great. Again as always I enjoyed getting out in the sunshine with you.
Have a lovely day and God Bless You. :)

Came over to say hi...and now I feel guilty. Our weather has drastically improved but I have still been sitting on my rear. I would like to blame it on my painful feet, but my sneakers are well padded and my feet don’t hurt in those..

Gosh these pictures are so pretty. That large bird that is blue I have never seen!. Thank you for sharing with us and keep up your delightful positive attitude...Janey

Always enjoy your walks, the flora and the fauna. No outside walks yet, too snowy, muddy, and cold. But soon.
