We're discovering the 'real Florida' by going to some of my favorite places.
Most of them you'll notice don't have many people.
But this trip was taken on the weekend so a few people were there to enjoy this beautiful day.
We've driven through the small town of Ozello
and stopped close to a home with beautiful flowers in full bloom.
Now we're standing at the water's edge to look out over the marshes that will lead into the Gulf of Mexico.
I call it the ocean and my hubby shakes his head!
But whatever you call it, you have to admit it is beautiful!
The top of this mosaic is the back glass of a truck, then there's a warning sign at the boat launch and a sticker on a vehicle.
Now we'll drive back out the two lane road to civilization....
enjoying this sights as we go!
I hope you've enjoyed our trip!
Just one more before we get back on Suncoast Blvd. to head home.
I'm joining Angie for Mosaic Monday HERE .

When we go to the north beach at Tybee I call it the ocean and Marvin reminds me it is the mouth of the Savannah River there.lol And the same when we are in Gulf Shores. It is the Gulf of Mexico not the ocean....all looks like Ocean to me.
I'm with you about going places where there are less (or no) people...not because I'm anti-social, but because I TRULY enjoy the peace and quiet! A great adventure right near your backyard...:jp
...NEAT!
I looked Ozello up since the name is knew to me, My son used to live in Homasassa and I see that is close.. really beautiful. I love the gulf views
Beautiful photos. I hope you enjoyed your adventure :)
I did indeed enjoy your trip. Thank you so much for taking me along!! :-) ~Andrea xoxo PS~ How are you feeling, by the way? I know you're weren't feeling well, there for awhile. Have your ailments resolved themselves? I've been praying for you.
Looks like you have lots of different directions to go to see the natural beauty of your state.
I enjoyed your trip! :) What a lovely area, though my favourite places are usually people-free as well! :)
Florida is such a diverse state and I love all the water. We live in South Florida and I enjoy visiting all the parks and taking day trips..
I certainly enjoyed the trip, thank you much. We once lived by San Pablo Bay near San Francisco. "Look at the ocean," I'd say to the Husband, to which he'd respond, "That's not the ocean, it's a bay." And, I'd say, "Yeah, but it's all ocean water."
LOVE your new header. Beautiful marshes. You didn't mention it, but you did this by boat, or?Can imagine, that when you work with people all week long, you tend to go in the weekend where there are no people! The red sports car is a fun feature in your first image:) Thank you so much for sharing this different with All Seasons! Have a smooth week, Jesh
Lovely photos. Flowers blooming anywhere brightens a New England winter day.
When I see the Florida wilderness...I know there has to be a bunch of creepy crawly things in those grasses. Diane, I loved see the flowers in bloom. Girl, I am so ready to see flowers around here. Stay safe . Blessings to you, xoxo, love, Susie
The red car in the first photo makes it picture perfect. Thanks for droppkng by and linking up at Mknday WRites
Much💗love
The trip was delightful. Thanks for taking us along. The weather looks beautiful. Sure beats the 18 degrees we had today
Interesting landscape - the crocs and snakes add to the adventure!
What a pretty drive, Diane! It looks so peaceful.
Lovely!! I like those little red cars, too!! Thanks for sharing!!
Beautiful collection of photos.
The views are lovely, Diane. We enjoy visiting places that aren't too crowded as well. I agree with you, the Gulf of Mexico looks like the ocean!
What a lovely spot!
Diane - your new header is gorgeous - those natural marshlands with the grass as far as you can see - I love it! Glad you are able to get out and share your day trip with everyone at Mosaic Monday!
I love seeing Florida through your eyes!
Hello,
Looks like a great drive and visit to the gulf. I like the red cars in the first photo, th pretty sky and lovely flowers. Take care, enjoy your day and week ahead!
It's always a pleasure to get away from civilization for a while.
Such beautiful landscape. Enjoy your day, hugs, Edna B.
Hi Diane, beautiful photos of Florida. I like the first photo with the red car. Greetings Caroline
This is my Florida. The Florida I love love love. Isn't is just beautiful? And yes, I am with your hubby. It is the Gulf. Beautiful pics. I wish I could turn back time with some of the amenities we have to a more beautiful Florida with less concrete. Amazing widllife.
Un precioso paseo, me ha encantado. Besos.
Really really pretty. We do have such beautiful places here in Florida. So much natural beauty. We just have to get out and enjoy it! Thank you for sharing this with us. We haven't explored the Gulf Coast that much and I wish we could. We've always leaned more to the Atlantic coast, but even that we haven't been to in too long. This was delightful.
A very nice trip.
Thank you for taking us along in your photographs :)
All the best Jan
It is such a pretty area, I would love to live in a warmer climate. Beautiful images!!!
i left a comment here yesterday, or at least i thought so. sometimes when i use my phone it does't work. anyway, these scenes are so pretty, i have never really seen this side of florida!! i would love to live here, or at least in a warmer climate!!
What a beautiful place to explore. Florida has the Gulf and the Atlantic! The red car on the point is a striking image. Thanks for taking us along, Diane.
I'd never heard about Ozello before....and now I'm intrigued!
That house is a lovely version of "Old Florida" I think...
A small town always makes for a delightful visit.
Mmmmmm, the possibility of alligators would scare me witless though... -sigh-
How clever to drive a red car - it photographs very well.

Thank you for another nice tour! It means a lot to me as I do not go far from home. Fun to see your excursions and great Nature Trails! Happy Valentines Day! Love, Aunt Helen
Beautiful road trip! We've got snakes and gaters here also...always wise towatch out for them. Have a great rest of the week!
What a pretty pretty drive, my sweet friend! Loved going along with y'all. You got some great pictures. Wow, look at that snazzy little red car...fun!! We love the backcountry of Florida, to us it's so much more scenic and interesting than the beach resorts!! All my life Florida was Clearwater, Tampa, Miami, the hotels and high rises on the beaches...but late in life I discovered the back roads and they are my favorite now. And we learned about the Florida springs, and they just amaze and mesmerize me....so beautiful and SO CLEAR AND SO COLD. I love the places you take us. Hugs!
Interesting tour, but I fear Alligators and snakes too. The landscape is never the less a fantastisc part of nature.
Thank you for sharing.
Happy MosaicMonday
I love the water and am so happy to be in an area where it is everywhere, however, there is nothing like the ocean or the gulf. I do miss those crashing waves and finding out of the way spots to just sit and pass the time. Lovely
Dawn aka Spatulas On Parade
Thanks for taking us along on your little trip, Diane. The restaurant sounds fun with the tiki bar, and the house you came across looks charming with all those pretty flowers in the front of their yard. It looks like a nice day for a drive. : )
Have a peaceful weekend, my friend.
~Sheri
Thanks for the tour ♥
words to the wise, don't feed the snakes and gators...oy!
I enjoyed the trip and wish I was there in person.
