We visited several State Parks in the month of December.
And as much as we love camping in Florida, it's fun to 'spread our wings' a little and visit some of the state parks in neighboring states.
And it's much easier to travel now in this Coachmen Nova 20d Van camper.
Our dealer, Sunshine State RVs in Gainesville, FL was the best ever! The link to Sunshine is HERE. And I'll put a link HERE if you want to look at the specs and floor plan.
In these photos, the side door is open (screen closed) and the back is fully open with a screen pulled down.
We had the prettiest tree in the park at our campsite!
And this is the view of the lake from the window (and door) facing the lake.
We loved our little travel trailer and Chevy truck but we thought this van would be easier for us to manage. Thanks so much to those who talked to us about the vans and answered our questions, especially my blog friend HERE!
We spent a week at Reed Bingham State Park in Adel, Georgia last month and had a wonderful experience. A link to the website is HERE.
I keep a camping journal and I had so much good to write about this campground and not a single negative.
Even in December the trees had a lot of 'Fall' color!
The Cypress trees were spectacular!
Snowy Egret
And I don't think I've ever seen such a variety of birds in a lake.
Great White Egret
I went different times of the day so I got to see quite a lot!
It sure has been a wonderful experience to travel to so many state parks.
Great Blue Heron
Canada Goose
Mosaic of a few more! (not sure what the bird in the center is)
I may need at least one more post featuring Reed Bingham State Park.
(We did go in search of the monster of the lake and found it...stay tuned!)

...have a great time glamping.
Dear Diane, how wonderful that you had such an excellent trip with your stylish van! (With a van like this you don't need stylish clothes, I swear! 😊)
You were able to photograph many beautiful birds (and trees! And landscapes in general!) in Reed Bingham State Park in Georgia. I'm curious what our bird experts say about the middle bird in the last collage - I'm guessing it's a snipe, but my app only offers me European snipes...
Thank you very much for your super sweet comment and your New Year's wishes!
Hugs and all the best from Austria, Traude

We follow a couple on YouTube that camp in the Tennessee, West Virginia, North Carolina area. They also have a van type camper, but I believe it is a different model. Looking forward to hearing about the monster of the lake!
How fun to be visiting states in your van. I loved looking at those beautiful photos. Have a good weekend.
I love your new camper van. It will be so much fun for many miles, and stays in great camping sites! I put 10,000 miles on mine the first summer I had it (1975). Then kept on rolling for 12 years total. Loved seeing the birds, but I don't know them.
He congratulations! I hope you really get much pleasure out of it. I'm already looking forward to the pictures you will take. Aloha friend
That looks like a beautiful place to camp. Love all your photos.
That is my dream to own a camper van. The RV Show is coming to Chicago next month so Chablis and I have plans to attend. Your van is PERFECT!! I can't wait to hear more about the places you visit. If you've never been to Harpers Ferry, I highly recommend it. You can spend several days exploring the town. Gettysburg is nice as well. Happy Travels!!
I like your new van a lot. looks just right to handle it and big enough to be comfy. gorgeous trees, waiting to see the monster
A lake with serenity. Filled with herons and Canadian Goose.
You are clearly enjoying your trips and I am certainly enjoying your photographs ... wonderful sightings.
All the best Jan
That's a great way to travel.
Pictures are beautiful. My favorite is the Great White Heron.
Brilliant photos!! Your camper looks comfortable and yes, to much easier to manage!! Thanks for taking us along!
A campervan makes things just a little easier, doesn't it. Great pics of the birds and tree colour.
Beautiful series of photos.
Nice camping spot for the camper too.
I wish you a good weekend.
Greetings Irma
I love the look of your new camper van, and your great photos. Happy travels!
It sounds like you had an amazing time exploring state parks and enjoying the beauty of nature! Your new van looks perfect for these adventures, and the photos of the lake and wildlife are stunning. It’s great that you’re able to travel so comfortably now!

Hello,
Your new camper van looks wonderful, I would think it would be easier to handle driving. I wouldn't mind renting one to see how it is. Your picked a lovely spot for your camping, great views of the water and all the birds. Safe and happy travels. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend.
What a great trip! Barb has been looking at camper vans recently. She wants something new, but she just does not know what she wants yet.
That van will serve you well, it looks perfect. So now I can sit back and read about your travel adventures and enjoy your beautiful photos. I'm looking forward to it.
Your trip looks wonderful and I am impressed by the new van and its features. There are so many ways to travel, and yours and ours differ widely, but both seem very enjoyable.

Diane, I love Jan’s comment so much that I’ll repeat it here: “You are clearly enjoying your trips and I am certainly enjoying your photographs ... wonderful sightings.” I’ll add that your new camping vehicle is very cool! John
Your Coachmen camper looks wonderful. While camping out is not my thing, if it were, I'd want to do it with a vehicle such as yours!
... looking forward to reading what "the monster of the lake" is all about!
That looks like an ideal place to spend a few days in your wonderful camper. Looking forward to more of your journeys.
Your new camper looks great. You have taken beautiful pictures of the birds!
Oh what a wonderful series of photos from your GA camping trip ~ gorgeous nature shots and such fun with your new 'camper' ~ hugs,

Looks like you are enjoying the state parks in you new camper. The park looks beautiful with lots of wildlife that will keep you busy taking more beautiful photos. I enjoy looking at your photos.
Such a lovely campervan! Beautiful photos of the birds too!
The photos are beautiful! The Cypress trees are incredible. I love the variety of birds you saw. It reminds me of the birds I see here, though of course, the species are different.
It's fun seeing the state parks east of the Mississippi. Our camping is all out west. Beautiful photos!
I love it my friend. You are inspiration... keep er moving and exploring. :-)
Oh my goodness, look at YOU! Off in a wonderful new vehicle so you can take your home on the road with all the fun jaunts around the country. (Think about adding Michigan to your list!). I wouldn't begin to know the places that you would find the array of birds you have shared in this post. How delightful!
Me alegra que lo pasaran bien, y vieras tantas aves preciosas. Besos.
This camper looks ideal for touring. Just pull up, plug in and open the door - done! Not having to tow something big like our caravan, or set up a tent, is perfect. We have done tenting, canvas camper trailer, smaller caravan and now a bigger caravan that we bought so our son could have a bed that didn't need to be made every night by dropping down the dining table! Happy touring and camping! Have a great week and thankyou for visiting my blog this week. BTW our caravan is also a Nova brand!
What a beautiful place to camp, or "glamp" in your new camper van. We saw them on our trip across Canada and they seem so useful and efficient. We have a small travel trailer and love it, but the ease of a van is something we look at sometimes.
Love those egrets!
In New Zealand the Maori name for the white heron is Kotuku and that is what we know it by. It only nests and breeds in Okarito in South Westland on the west coast of the South Island and is quite rare.
Hi Diane :)
What a wonderful way to travel. Your camper van looks just the job to travel in comfort. Loved all the bird images and the site you chose where you can see the river/ lake. Looking forward to seeing the monster! :)
Hugs
Sonjia.
