I heard someone say that about Cardinals and I've never forgotten.
My husband and I have been very blessed over the years and we are thankful for that.
But now we are going through a very hard time and I wanted to write and ask you for your prayers.
Ron has a very rare cancer....B cell Lymphoma.
There's a good article HERE. He has the Splenic subtype.
It is too advanced for surgery to remove his spleen so they have started Chemotherapy treatments. He's been in the hospital receiving blood transfusions too.
I'll update you all when we get farther into the treatments. I had thought about taking a blog break but I get so much enjoyment from reading my favorite blogs and I know you will all give me encouragement.
I've come to know most of you over the years of blogging and know you have all been through hard times too and I have prayed for many of you over the years. So I'll thank you in advance for your prayers and I will be around to visit soon. I know I'll read my favs and I'll comment when I can.
God bless you, your blog buddy Diane
I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE

...amen, sister. We have a pair of cardinals in our garden. Blessings!
Sending virtual healing energies (and prayers, another healing energy form) that you and Ron meet this challenge with all the fortitude, along with joy and beauty, which you've shared here in your blog about your travels.
Prayers for you and Ron. Take care of each other. Hugs, Elaine
Hello Diane,
Sending my prayers and healing wishes for your husband.
Stay strong and well, we are all here for you. I love your cardinals and pretty butterfly. Thank you for linking up and sharing your critters and post. Take care, have a great weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
Sorry to read of the cancer diagnosis. Hoping the course of treatment gives him more years to live. I guess the two cardinals I saw yesterday are a blessing too. They've been away for awhile now.
oooooh diane, sadness overcame me as i read your words. your partner in life, your loving friend, your hiking buddy....he is your everything!! i am sending my love, warm wishes and strength, you will both need so much strength to get through this and you will. you seem like such a soft, kind, loving person and that's what your "partner in crime" needs right now. i hope it is ok to comment on your pictures, they are so beautiful and gave me hope. i have been seeing a lot of buckeyes lately, more than i have ever seen before. hugs to both of you!!
I am so sorry to read this news, Diane, and will pray for strength and grace for you and Ron as you navigate this unwelcome trail.
We don't have cardinals here - such gorgeous birds. Hugs, Lorrie

Prayers and good vibes for you both
It is sad y’all are going through a difficult health. Take care and post whenever you feel up to it. Even posting one photo can help you feel your blog friend’s caring. 🙏🏻
We'll be thinking of you and hoping for a swift and full recovery.
I'm deeply sorry to hear this, Diane. My dad had a different type of lymphoma (one that is not hereditary). I am whispering a prayer for your husband this morning. The red cardinal is delightful, and your Header butterfly is beautiful. Thinking of you on this Saturday morning and sending thoughts of comfort and love.

I love seeing cardinals and hearing their song--they are rare here.
I am so sad to hear about Ron's diagnosis and I hope chemo and perhaps future immunotherapy will help him overcome this cancer. Sending comforting (((hugs))) and prayers for you both!
I hardly ever read/blog/visit blogs anymore but when I saw this I want you to know that I am praying for you and your hubby as you have prayed for us in the past. Asking God to wrap his arms around both of you as you walk this path. xo Diana
Sending good thoughts and prayers your way. I hope that you see a Cardinal every day. Blogging will be a comfort to you I have found.
I am so glad you let us know. I stopped and wrote y’all’s name. On my prayer list before I commented. Yes, we bloggers have prayed for each other and are invested in our blogging friends’ lives. Prayers of healing and strength during this rough patch.
This is surprising and most unwelcome news that you have shared about Ron's cancer. I am sad to read this and began praying even as I was reading your sentences about it.
I know you have prayed for me in recent years, for which I am so very grateful and I am committed to praying for Ron and for you.
Just this past week I learned of cancer in one of my extended family members. We all look to the Lord for the strength, help, and health we need.
So very sorry to read this Diane ... saying a prayer for you and Ron, and sending lots of good wishes across the miles.
Beautiful photographs of the Cardinal.
All the best Jan

Sending good and healing vibes and prayers for you and Ron.
I'm sorry to hear about Ron and will pray.
Sorry to hear about your cancer diagnosis.
I hope the treatment gives him a few more years and that you'll be together for a long time to come.
I think the cardinals are very beautiful.
Greetings Irma
Believe me, I'm by your side in this so difficult time, dear Diane.
I'm sending prayers for you and your Ron from across the ocean.
XO Daniela @ ~ My little old world ~ (Dany)
So very sorry to read about Ron. I'm sending lots of prayers and virtual hugs.
Thinking of you and sending my prayers for your Husband and to you while you navigate this unwanted path in life. I wish you a Cardinal a day!
The cardinals were bringing blessings your way. Prayers to Ron and you from all of us and lots of hugs too.
Hi Diane, so sorry to hear about Ron. Thinking of you and your husband. A lot of hugs.
So sorry for this sad news, Diane. Oh my. These will be hard days ahead for you and Ron - I'm asking for heavenly strength and grace for the coming days. ((( heart )))
I saw your comment on my post, and came to find out what has happened while I have been struggling just to get through each day. I am so sorry to hear about this rare cancer and I did check out the link. Prayers for Ron and for you, as you go through the chemo treatments. My brother is in chemo now for amyloidosis, a rare cancer and my husbands CIDP is rare and the treatments he is taking are doing the same thing that chemo does. the gammaked infusions have the job of killing Bob's immune system because the CIDP is attacking him immune system trying to shut it down. they hope if the drug does it, he might walk again. with dementia, age 89 and Cidp, his is death sentence and no way to win this one. we have no idea how long the body will fight. hugs and prayers
Oh, no. I'm thinking about you.

Hello Dear Friend, I will be praying. We have been blog buddies for a long time, you have prayed for our son during his deployments. And as our boys grew up. :-) You actually have watched them grow up on the blog.
Love you lots,
Carla
All the best luck for you and your husband!
Thanks for sharing the beautiful Cardinals and that wonderful butterfly.
All the best to both of you. I am so sorry you have to manage this. You'll get through it. We're cheering for you!
Beautiful post.
Best wishes for Ron and you. Godspeed his recovery!
Praying for you and Ron as you go through this ordeal. Thank you for the prayers you've prayed for us and so many others
We're back in Florida. And it feels very real to me! The air smells salty and delicious. Have a good week exploring.
I've never heard that saying before. I love it and your photos. And yes, you need all the blessings and prayers you can get right now. I am so sorry to hear about Ron's cancer diagnosis and I'm sure you are both terribly concerned as you adjust to a new "normal" -- at least for a bit during therapy. I hope it is successful, caught well in time for effective treatment. Please take care of yourself as well, visit when you can, and know that we are all wish you. And feel free to share as you want or need to on your blog or with my email. Sometimes it helps to write it out and remind people you need their emotional support. I wish you lived closer so I could help. Thank you for being open and sharing.
Oh, Diane, my heart goes out to you and Ron. I have a dear friend I grew up with who has bone cancer, and, of course we will add you and Ron to our prayer list. The rich red cardinals always excite with their spectacular color. I've grown so used to seeing them, I guess I take that blessing for granted. Nothing should ever be taken for granted. Your Buckeye has been through a rough patch of time, but still radiates with beauty. Take care, sweet lady, I care about you a lot. Hugs!
I am so so sorry to hear this. You have each other and you will get through this. Lots of healing thoughts for him and warm hugs for you. Just a reminder, take care of yourself too. Your photos are lovely and they always brighten my day.
