I've felt uplifted this week.
And I know God is blessing me all along the way.
I'm getting outside as much as I can to see what nature has to offer. I still have low energy but I think I am seeing some improvement already.
So thanks again to all of you that have followed me on this journey and stuck by my side.
One of my favorite sitings in Florida is the Sherman's Fox Squirrel.
He is such a fun little critter and very photogenic!
Ahhhhh.....spring!
Two red bellied woodpeckers were chasing each other from tree to tree.
Have you enjoyed some time outdoors this week?
I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE

...be strong and well, Diane.
that squirrel is a soul-lifter all by himself.. Nature is also a healer. I am glad you feel better and are doing your beloved hiking once again. Prayers for God to fill you with his peace and comfort.
I am so glad you are getting some outdoor time when you can! It does lift us up. That critter is beautiful!!!! I have hiked a bit and seen a barred owl and some other fun things. Take care!
Oh Diane. I just learned that your dear husband passed away. I am so very sorry to hear this sad news. Sending big heart hugs and wishes for His grace to help you through this time of grief and loss. xo
I am so glad to see that you are getting out more, and that God is blessing you with some wonderful sights to see! I love the Sherman's Fox Squirrels...they are becoming so rare these days with so much development around. It is indeed a 'rare' treat to see them...and it is nice that they tend to be a little more "friendly" to be being photographed. And I love to see the Red Bellied Woodpeckers too. Yes, 'tis the season for a lot of bird and squirrel and wildlife activity I can see a bluebird through my window right now perched on a tree near their bird house next to the very dry still waters pond. I'm glad the lack of rain hasn't stopped them from nesting this year! Hopefully I will get to see some babies sometime soon! You are in my continued thoughts and prayers as you learn to navigate this new journey. May you feel God's presence with you every day. (((HUGS)))
You've been through a lot and it takes time to heal. Im glad that getting that getting out in nature helps you. That squirrel is new to me. I'll be on the lookout here in Florida. Have a great wee.
When morning appointments have not been in our way, we have enjoyed our bicycle rides after breakfast. It feels good to be outdoors, and especially at this time of year when sweaters are optional. I'm so glad you're feeling better. Keeping you in my prayers for comfort, peace, and that life treats you with gentleness.
So pleased that you are getting out more ... keep strong and keep going ... sending {{{hugs}}} to help you.
Lovely photographs of the Sherman's Fox Squirrel and the red bellied woodpeckers.
All the best Jan
Your photos are wonderful. Glad you are getting out. It takes time!!
I don't drive to hiking spots like you do, but enjoy the 1.2 mile walk around my community, with my sweet neighbors, each morning. That squirrel is so cute and I love his tail. Much prettier than the little ones I see around my home (more like rat-size!). I'm glad you are getting out and enjoying nature again. Sending a hug!!
I'm glad you're getting along and your photos are most beautiful!
I am so glad to hear from you. Getting outside is definitely a good idea. My beach walks are akin to your hikes. I don't think I have seen that squirrel.
Thinking of you.
Oh that squirrel is posing for you! It looks like it has a fun attitude! It is good you are recognizing God's little precious blessings! Maybe with the low energy it allows you to take more time and enjoy even more little things for a little longer!
That fox squirrel is absolutely gorgeous. I, too, am glad to see you sharing on your blog. Every day, one at a time. Holidays can be very challenging. Be gentle with yourself. Please take care.
Hi Diane, what a neat post with lots of cool images! Very well done! “I still have low energy but I think I am seeing some improvement already.” … I smiled when I read that. I love that you are seeing some improvement … wish I could say that for myself! 😊 Happy to hear you are feeling uplifted this week. Sending you a big hug! Thank you so much for your kind comment on my blog and thank you for sharing your blog. Wishing you peace and strength! John
Ron would want you to keep enjoying beautiful Nature, Diane, and by doing so you are honoring him. I am always fascinated by woodpeckers --they are such lively birds and you got a good photo of them!
Hello Diane,
I am glad each day you are feeling better, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Nature is soothing, love your cute fox squirrel. The shot with the two woodpeckers is awesome. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your day and happy weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
it is good to hear that you are starting to feel a bit better. Nature will certainly help. I love that squirrel.
It's great that you are getting out for those walks and the squirrels and the wood peckers are so nice to look at. I always love looking at your nature photos. Take care and be well.
Glad to hear you are getting out and enjoying nature. Your photos are wonderful.
Any day with Fox Squirrels and Woodpeckers is a good day!
We're still encountering speed bumps on our road to returning to Nature. Soon ..........
thinking of you....
I"m just discovering your blog and although I don't know what challenges you're talking about nor can I imagine hiking in Florida....I'm loving this blog!! I'll try to figure out how to follow. I've been a life long hiker...i began when I was 4 and haven't stopped yet at age 66! I'm retired from teaching special needs/language impaired/emotionally disturbed Prek students ages 3-6 (retired in 2023 about 7 yrs earlier than planned....reasons why is mainly my cervical spine couldn't take sitting on the floor most of day and lifting little ones for lockdown drills, etc I even founded and run/lead a coed hiking group for people of all ages! So nice to "meet" you.
So nice to see, all the nice animals. Praying for you, for a moment, now.
It is good to visit you again and to know you are finding the joy again. (It will be a different kind .) Hugs and thanks for sharing the beauty of Spring from your corner.
Sorry we have been away a lot of this year and been extra busy since we returned. I hope that you are on the mend now. Lovely photos, Take care, for the Diane in France.
checking in...thinking of you!!
Just stopping by to wish you a Happy Mother's Day. I hope you are well. Those red bellied woodpeckers are such pretty birds. We get the acorn woodpeckers up here, and although they are very attractive, they peck at my house and tree and can be annoying. Those fox squirrels are something else! I hope these May days bring you love, comfort, and all things good.
Love those adorable Fox Squirrels! Happy to hear you were able to get out for a bit. Gini is now able to walk some with limited use of a cane so we're gently getting back to exploring Nature.
We all need to be doing a rain dance every day!
Take care.
Love those adorable fox squirrels!
Really happy you were able to get out for a bit. Gini is now able to walk a bit with very limited use of a cane so we're gradually getting back to exploring Nature.
Had a short but intense rain shower yesterday. We need more! (Commencing rain dance.)
Take good care!
Even on my worst or lowest spirit days, outdoors always makes me feel better. I am so sorry for your loss.
Hello. Just checking in on you, my friend. Hugs.
Cute critters! I am glad you are getting out and feeling better. I know how hard it is to motivate when you don't have any energy. God is definitely blessing you all the way!
