Let's visit Micanopy!

After we spent the day at Cross Creek,

we stopped in Micanopy to walk around and shop!

Photos taken on the drive...

Some of the movie, Cross Creek was set in Micanopy. Another movie shot here was Doc Hollywood featuring Michael J. Fox. We want to watch that again soon, too! (And yes I take photos out my side window going 60 mph! lol)

We walked the small downtown.....going into antique stores and book shops...

And the very best store of all was The Shop !

Oh, the things you will see!

So many amazing things made with shells!

I couldn't see everything...

the shop is so full of treasures!

I bought this precious little metal bird...

 

and hope to go back when I am in the shopping mood!

This is all I bought...I must have been VERY tired! lol

He's been hopping all over the house....

"Wednesday Wee Ones" Let's meet Ruby today!

I've had questions about who my favorite doll is and that would be hard to answer!  So I decided to 'feature' one doll each week for a couple of months and then for fun, I'll have you vote on which one is your favorite!

Meet Ruby, a Lee Middleton doll I got a few years ago.

She is such a sweet girl! Here she is with another Lee doll!

Very content to play with dolls...

or her doll house!

She gets along well with everyone....

except maybe a 'boy' trying to play house with her!

She's lots of fun...

and very photogenic!

I made this little romper for her...she looks good in RED!
