I only have one outfit to wear!

I hesitate to show my “Day at the Beach”

because I KNOW this is the outfit I

wear every time I go to the beach!

DSCN0155

But baggy shorts, a tank top and a thin linen shirt work best when you are serious about walking and picking up shells! Oh, and a baseball cap!

We had so much fun on the Canaveral National Seashore.

DSCN0203

It was in the 70s and gorgeous!

(I think my hubby is gorgeous, too!)

DSCN0159

I’m anxious to get caught up on your fun so far this week while I get caught up on the laundry!

DSCN0182

We are enjoying temps in the 70s all this week…

DSCN0167

.such a great reason to live in Florida.

DSCN0172

I’m afraid to ask you what your weather’s like

but I would love to know!

Thanks so much for all of the sweet birthday messages! I had a wonderful birthday at the beach!!!

I can’t wait to rinse off my shells and show you what I found!

I’m sending you all some warm sunny hugs!

Hi, now I couldn't walk on the beach..it's already a bit cold, like a cold spring !

Your sunny day at the beach is much different than the gray, foggy day we just had. You are wearing shorts! Hope you found some treasures...

Your shelling outfit looks like mine - LOL! I wish I were walking in the surf and looking for shells. It's a crisp 28 degrees in Chicago this morning.

Snow nearly gone-roads clear-but all driveways are a 2 inch sheet of ICE!! and not the kind to go in your brandy glass......! Enjoy your beach!!

Oh, it looks absolutely heavenly! What I wouldn't do to be at the beach right now. We have rain today and in the 60s.
Your "one" outfit looks great for shell searching!

You look so cute. I wear almost the same thing at the beach.

Your pictures look so invited. Oh, if ONLY!!... although today all the snow is melting and it's about 50... downright balmy for this time of year.

I think I'm rapidly getting to age where I wouldn't care if I ever saw Winter again. Your beach is just gorgeous. I could set up camp there permanently.

Happy Birthday my friend! Mine was the 16th & I always go to the beach somewhere. Last year I went to Marco. This year I went to good ole Sanibel. It's a great tradition I'd say. I usually start out early when it's cooler so you won't ever see any pics of me. I have to have Columbia shorts. The pockets are the best. My latest pair are men's that fit me perfect & I roll the bottoms up if the waves are splashing :) I love your outfit. It covers all the bases lYers, SPF, & pockets.

I would love to wade in the ocean right not. Probably not a good idea here in New England, but FLA sure looks tempting. Happy Birthday.

The several inches of the white stuff we received on Saturday was washed away yesterday with heavy rain and temps in the 50's. This is one unusually mild winter up here. That beach looks so beautiful. Happy birthday! xo

Looks like you had a wonderful time, and who cares if you only have one outfit......it works! We've had a bit of gloomy weather here lately, but mostly we range in the 70's, too! It's supposed to get up to 77 this week....we'll see!

Hugs,
Meri from Arizona

Hello, my dear friend Diane

I hope you are very well, I am very busy in these days because one of my dear uncle is very sick, he has cancer.

Have a good time in Florida.

It's not in the 70s. We have a dear friend who packed up and headed to Florida forever just before Christmas. She's back! I am so shocked. She said that she just couldn't get used to the traffic and the crime. Sigh. I don't know where she was living, but I don't see that here in your corner!

Your outfit it perfect for the beach! Looks like you all had a great time! So sweet of your hubby to take you to the beach for your birthday!

Hi Diane,
Wish I was on the beach with you...it has been 18 years since I was on the beach in Florida. We had snow...then it warmed up and we got thunderstorms...and today there is no more rain, but the sky is very gray...it just looks ugly outside.
hugs,
Cindy

I'm not near a beach, but we're experiencing sunny 70s today here in South Mississippi. I like you beach outfit!!!

Not bad for us today, in the 50's.
It's a regular heat wave!

Thanks Diane for sharing your beach today. I am so wishing to be there!! It's been really cold. Raining, then warm up and thunderstorms. The Louisville area had several tornadoes last week. The sun if finally shining today and I am so thankful. It's suppose to turn off bad starting again tomorrow! YUK! I'm ready for Spring! Enjoy your 70's.

Such fun beach pictures. It's gray and icy in West MI. I'll be anxious to see what goodies you found on the beach.

Hi Diane,
Oh I think you might share the same Birthday as my brother his is Jan. 21. Happy Happy Birthday and what better way to spend the day then on the beach! WoW 70 degree weather...we are cold, rainy and windy, we have red lounge chairs floating in our pool from the wind storm the other night (Gary has to go outside in the cold and fish them out)LOL.
I love the quilt heart banner, it looks so sweet in your dreamy bedroom.
Have a sweet day, Elizabeth

I love your sand people! :)

Shelling is so much fun! Enjoy your lovely weather. It has been a rather mild winter so far here in NYC--we had some snow on the weekend but it is already all gone and the temp was in the 50's today--not bad for January!

We've had some rain, but the daily highs have been in the 50s for a while now! This has been one of the mildest winters I have ever recalled here. We're TAKE it!

Having mild weather here in Southeast Texas. I'm looking forward to returning to Florida for some beach time come spring.

The pictures look SO inviting! We're in the teens (temps) and have snow, ice, and wind here. It's fun to see someone enjoying the sandy coast. :-)

Shelling is so much fun! I've shelled in Sanibel and could get used to it becoming part of my daily routine! We've had a mild winter so far here in Upstate New York. Although I enjoy the mild winters, I am a skier and would like some snow for the weekends. I love your sand people :-)

Tammy said...

Thanks for the warm hugs Diane! We can't complain here in St Louis. So far we've been pretty lucky this winter with just a few "wintery events" that were short lived. We've been enjoying days with highs in the 40's.. that's no 70's like you have, but it's certainly can be much colder here this time of year. (I'm still ready for spring!). Glad you're back and had a nice trip :)

Gina said...

It certainly looks like a beautiful day!
Temps were in the high 30s (here in NY) with rain. The rain has melted most of our snow now.
Enjoy the beautiful weather that you're having!

Carol @ Always Thyme to Cook said...

Great shots, looks like lovely weather out your way! I love the sand people ;) We had a few inches of snow one day and warm and sunny the next. Today was like spring. So weird. Enjoy your beach days.

BECKY said...

Hey, no problem with your outfit! I usually wear the same things, too. You gotta be comfy! LOVE the photos of the waves. Just gorgeous! Glad you had a great birthday! Hugs!

I was too busy looking at those blue skies to notice your outfit. :-) Today brought 4" of snow in the morning followed by an afternoon of rain. Stay where you are -- I'll be right there!!

Florida is O K for a vacation for me but I like it here..not that bad and if the people that hate the snow don't like living where there is snow..they can always move. My American Eskimos love the snow but they did not like the summers in AL...Guess this is where I was meant to be...but I do like picking up sea shells and other things about FL...was cold here today so had to warm the car up to go to town...Dogs like riding in the car this time of year :)
Just seems weird to see people on the beach now but looks like you are enjoying it...That's all that matters...right?

It's been mild here in Sunny So. Ca. We did get a day of rain and wind, but it was in the high 60's today and supposed to climb up again over the week...

Your beach pics are great! So pretty!
Don't feel bad about your outfit. I don't wear skirts or shorts.....I wear jeans everywhere....yep, to the beach, too...haha! Definately not a typical California girl :)

Like you I am absolutely loving this weather here on the Gulf Coast of Florida. White sandy beaches, dolphins and pelicans.
