“The Heart of the Sea” Mosaic Monday

I was so fortunate to find ‘the heart of the sea’ when we walked on Apollo Beach Christmas day.

DSCN9969-004

This is the very first heart I’ve ever found…a treasure indeed.

Christmas-001

I made this mosaic in Picassa and Picnik.

I started with this photo…

DSCN9969

But I want to tell you about a fun and easy photo editing tool online.

I was on Living, Laughing and Loving and saw these wonderful blogging tips. HERE!

In Part 4 she mentions Pixlr

It’s very easy to use and you save your photo…be sure to rename it so that it doesn’t overwrite your original…right onto your computer!

I used it here…

PostDSCN9969

and here.

VignetDSCN9935

I’m joining Mary at the dear little red house

for Mosaic Monday! I hope you’ll join us, too!

I love working with photos!

PS I’ve had so many people ask….yes, I think it IS a rock but it was in the perfect shape of a heart! When I picked it up, I put it to my heart!

Have you learned a fun editing tool lately?

I've never seen one either. Never even heard of one. That must be like finding a four leaf clover or a penny on the sidewalk. It really is pretty. Your photos look great and the last one is nice with your much loved bottle. Take care!

How exciting...now what exactly is a heart of the sea. I have found heart shaped sea glass and heart shaped rocks from the ocean but I have a feeling that this is different?

I'm in the dark about the Heart of the Sea too?! It look cool!
Haven't done any editing because I'm a chicken when it comes to "playing" on the computer.

Heart-shaped rocks are a great find. I love the name "heart of the sea."

No tips on photo editing here, but I think I'll check out your link. Can always learn something new.

I must be hungry and in need of a snack since it looks like a heart shaped cookie to me...yum! LOL
It may be from a slab of concrete from crab traps. I find a lot of those pieces in fun shapes but not a Heart Of The Sea! Whatever it was to begin with, it has had a change of heart. xo

And that's a beautiful platter, by the way! Nice mosaic. :-)

I used to do a lot of photo editing with Paint Shop Pro then when I switched to an Apple that program I had to give up and I have never mastered Adobe Photo Shop Elements! I really really miss it to because there was little I could not do with PSP.

Hi Diane - it's amazing, isn't it?
My daughter found a smooth rock in the shape of a heart at Scusset Beach in Bourne. They are real treasures.
I've tried to do photo editing and I can't seem to 'get it'. Oh, well
I'll stick to stitching I guess.
Blessings,
Susan

'Never seen one before sweetie, I do believe you've found a rare treasure there.

I have to tell ya once while on a canoe trip hubs passed a rock on his paddle in front to me. I took the rock and as I did he said, "I give you my heart." It was a perfectly little pink shaped heart rock.

Now ya can say...awwwwwwwwww! Heeheehhee!

God bless ya and have an awesome week sweeite!!!

I love your mosaics, and that heart is beautiful. I have been working with Kim Klassen's videos about Photoshop and textures. I joined her test kitchen and between all the free textures and her wonderful tutorials I have enough to keep me busy for a while. I love learning new things too.

Have a beautiful evening.
