Put your hands UP!!! Wednesday Wee ‘One’ !

You’re under arrest for putting Christmas decorations out in May! hahaha!

IMG_4187

Don’t know who this little guy is or even what he is wearing but I thought he was cute, so he came here to live. (from the old thrift store of course) And he wasn’t quite ready to be packed away until next winter!

IMG_4192

And have you ever seen cuter Christmas balls? They looked sweet in this old dish. (They are small!)

IMG_4189

I also wanted to show how pretty my bookcase looks with the ‘new’ reader that Judy sent me.

IMG_4712

All of my old children’s books that I cherish.

Did you notice the clock is always set on 3:30?

IMG_4220

That’s when school was out back in the olden days when I went to school.

Have fun today

and take time to PLAY!

What a sweet collection of books. I love the way you have them displayed with all of the other goodies...the clock, bell, etc. The Christmas balls are lovely too!

He is a cute little fellow! Diane, you'll be able to have your own thrift store. Those are sweet ornaments with the ice and frost. And your schoolbook shelves always look cute!

School used to go until 2:30 here, but has extended to 3:00. I think a little longer day makes sense, especially for getting out before the end of June. Every town has its own schedule, I suppose. And I really don't like early release day, which happens to be Wednesday. For what?!

Diane,
Yes those thrift stores can put Christmas out all year long. I know our thrift has lots of Christmas things, I try and walk fast and close my eyes. You did get some cute and pretty things.

Oh, this little guy is so cute. I can see why you wanted to put him out now. And the balls are pretty - they are so vintage looking. My favorite was the children's book. How special that book shelf is displaying all your children's books. What a treasured space this is.

I can't tell for sure, but your little elf looks like he has lipstick "kisses" all over him! No wonder he's surrendering ;) I have some very old children's books too. A couple were given to my mother by her teacher and they're very special to me (and the stories are so creepy!!). Our school used to let out at 3:00 and then it was a bus ride home, and then we went horseback riding till dinnertime. Good memories! Wendy x

LOL anything WINTER related is on my "black" list but I have to agree -- he IS awfully cute as are the Christmas balls. What an adorable idea to set the clock to 3:30! Yes, those WERE the days -- except I believe our dismissal time was 3:15 . . . go figure.

What a colorful post! Loved seeing all the red when your blog popped up on my reading list. Great goodies and I think your bookshelf is just fabulous. No trouble imagining that you would, of course, think about such a charming detail as the time on your clock.
