My blog friend, Julie at Julie’s Lifestyle is doing a Makeup Monday series.
It’s a great place to learn some make up tips and info on taking care of our skin.
I’ve also been following Deborah at The Beautiful Matters. She blogs about personal beauty and all things beautiful!
I keep things simple but I do take care of myself and enjoy being a ‘girl’! I think the healthy habits we start early can really help as we age.
Julie had a giveaway and guess what? I won an amazing box of goodies. I’ll still trying out the new products she sent. The first thing I did was give myself a pedicure and use the Sally Hansen, “Raisin the Bar” nail polish. I keep my toe nails polished year round. I wear sandals most of the time.
Thanks Julie for the amazing package of makeup.
And thanks Deborah for the wonderful book reviews.
Here’s my favorite ‘beauty’ product. Put it on lightly before you apply your makeup. Everything will go on so much smoother and last all day.
It’s fun to try new products.
What’s something you think I should try?

Good morning Diane and thanks so much for mentioning me in your post! I just loved what you said about the pirates and everything. I love your makeup tip for this week and I would love to try the Curel cream. I love a cream that goes on smooth and has no perfume smell to it. Have fun trying out those other products. I'm glad that you are enjoying the series and you are such a sweetie! Have a wonderful day.
Julie
You have to try 'Argan' oil. It's 100% natural and is an excellent moisturiser. It seems expensive, but a small bottle lasts me ten months.

Well, aren't you the lucky one?! That looks like a great basket of goodies!
Congratulations on your win, always fun, isn't it? I'm always interested in new products that'll help me! I do like Curel, never tried on my face, it's my arms and legs that get the Curel and right out of the shower! Soaks it up in a jiffy! Right off hand I cant' think of anything to tell you about! Humm...am thinking I need another cuppa java!
Have a great Monday~
Nancy
So glad you won such a great giveaway, Diane! Have fun. :-)
Wonderful gift - congrats! I have that Fragrance Free Curel sitting on my bathroom counter. Fine minds think alike. lol
Love that color of polish! I need a pedicure but guess I will wait until I get home. I don't wear much make up but do use a tinted moisturizer with SPF to protect my dainty face :) I haven't tried that Curel cream but use Cetaphil on my face and have for years. Great product for sensitive skin. You are always looking so cute, glad you won some fun products to try! hugs, Linda
Lucky girl to win such a beautiful package! Have fun trying out the makeup. Wendy x
Oh fun! You do have a youthful face so you are obviously doing something right. Have you tried Netrogena lightly almond scented body oil? It lasts so much longer than lotion and goes on easily after a shower. Then it gives legs and body a nice light shine. Love that stuff.
Wow beautiful goodies ..
Congrats dear
Big hugs x
thank you Julie, for the mention!! So nice to have a new blog friend! I have been trying rose oil on my face b/c it's supposed to be good for mature skin. I also made up some rose oil, frankincense oil (also good for older skin) and apricot oil for my skin. If nothing else, it smells lovely!
Hi Diane! Oh, what a wonderful giveaway you won. I'm a girly girl too and do wear makeup but find I get stuck doing the same thing for years. I'll have to check out her blog. Hope you've had a nice weekend.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
How fun to try all those products. My tip is to wear hats to protect us from the sun. I wear lipstick and nail polish and that is it. I try to take the time to put on gloves when gardening.
I'm a Clinique moisturizer girl and as I have been using it since I was 18 I will probably keep it up. Always fun to learn about new products. xo Laura
That is a lot of nice products. I love gentle creams...as if they are heavy or whatever I can get a zit..at my age! I may have worked with mostly men but I did my hair and wore make-up. I have to do my g.daughter's nail when they are here...I hate chipped polish.LOL. But as I look at mine today..holy cow...looks like I been picking up rocks. LOL Hope you have a great day, xoxo,Susie
Ah girl goodies...such fun to get in the mail.
I love a good unscented moisturizer...and Curel it great.
Jen
Congratulations!! Julie's giveaway looks amazing, you are very lucky to have some lovely girly goodies!! Enjoy your week xx
Hello,
I just found you over at Muddy Boot Dreams ~ I liked what you commented to Jen. So I decided to stop by and check your blog out.
I like it. :-) I am a new follower.
Julie is such a sweetheart :) I am so glad you won her giveaway, dear Diane. Enjoy your new goodies :)
Beautiful goodies. Lucky you! Have fun with all your new stuff.
A super sweet gift....very nice!
What a great win, I love girlie stuff and paint my toenails year round too, as us Florida girls are always in sandals. A couple weeks ago I thought I would try not polishing and hated the look!
Carol
What a cute make-up bag. I try to keep it simple with my make-up too - just an eyeliner and concealer under eyes. I bet you loved getting all these goodies, and isn't it fun when we win the giveaways? I've won a few sweet gifts myself.
Have a great week, Diane.
love,
~Sheri
I like painted toe nails too - that's probably my one indulgence - pedicures a couple times a year.
Congrats on your win. Such a nice assortment of goodies!
I use Garnier Skin Renew. I'm not sure it's any better than regular lotion, but it feels very refreshing!
Lucky you. My youngest daughter works for a plastic surgeon. I have lots of skin care products. She insists the best is to have a good sun block at all times. Here in California I am out in the sunshine so much I never leave home with my makeup that has at least 30 protection. I do use a great moisturizer at night.
Wow! You are such a lucky gal! You even get to wear sandals all year!
Sandy
I'm glad to see other people post about make up too as I recently did one. There's something about the spring that makes us want to look pretty! Congrats on your win - what a nice basket of goodies!
