"Junk Beautiful"

"Junk Beautiful" by Sue Whitney

I had so much fun reading this book
and wanted to share a few pages of it.

This cottage reminds me of Kim's Daisy Cottage!

Doesn't this look inviting!?

Another neat idea ....

And I love the idea of making a Fairy Garden.

I've made a Fairy Terrarium and I'd like to make one of these, too.

Little gnomes would look sweet in this garden.

Materials needed.....

A few quotes from "Life is a Verb"......

"...With an eye made quiet by the power of harmony,
and the deep power of joy,
we see into the life of things."
_William Wordsworth

"You become what you think about."
_Earl Nightingale

"For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin-
real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way,
something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business,
time still to be served, a debt to be paid, then life would begin.
At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life."
_Alfred D'Souza

That little fairy garden is so cute! And it seems easy enough to make.

And I love the quote by Earl Nightingale....so true!

Ooo, that does look like fun. I wonder if my library would have it?

Did the magazine come with instructions for a GI Joe garden? That would be cool too!

Thanks for sharing this! I've often seen it at Barnes and Noble, but it's always wrapped. I've often wanted to see what's inside to see if it was worth the purchase! It mighty cute stuff and perhaps a second look at the bookstore. Happy Week Ahead!

Hi Diane, Thank you for the book review. I have wondered about this one and thanks to your post, I will purchase it now. I love the fairy garden and would love to do one too.

Loved your Father's Day post too. You are such a cutie sitting with your Dad.

Hope you are having a good week.

Wow, a fairy terrarium, what's a funny idea! I've never heard of it before!
Many greetings from Italy!

So sweet. I bet the fairy garden would be a fun project for Grandma and Grandchildren to do together. Finding the things to make the garden at the thrift store would be fun too.
I need some Grandchildren! I just might have to make a fairy garden for my kitchen since it is too hot to garden outside!

Very nice Diane, though I wish we would make better use of our junks here rather than just throw away. hugs/M
