I was so thrilled to find this little pitcher set at New Visions.
It is the perfect size…small and I have loved this design ever since I saw it on Holly’s blog, Girls at Heart.
She has so many pretty things and I fell in love with this china!
I also wanted to pass along this recommendation. Have you seen the HBO series John Adams? It is out on DVD and we found it at our library.
How amazing! It is something you’ll want to see and I was so impressed with David McCullough, the author, that I got the book from the library last night and started reading it as soon as I got home.
I’m glad it’s a rainy day and I have a brisket in the crock pot!

I love your book list! That is a great idea to rate them.
I also read the John Adams book and watched the dvd. When I feel like I am having a tough day missing my husband I often think of Abigail Adams and all she went through. She was a strong woman!
I love the chintz and the golden tree.
Hope you enjoy the day...
Oh the chintz is gorgeous. So pretty.Well Im not into reading as much as you, lol.I do read a bit more in the wintertime though.Enjoy your day!
Hey! Just wanted to add my two cents in about the John Adams DVD and book: WONDERFUL! I've owned them both for about a year now and they are both on my favorites list! I read everything I can get my hands on about the founding fathers!
I have been looking for a new mini series to watch while on my exercise bike. I will look for that one. I've read two books on your list. The Time Traveler's Wife (I also rate it 10) and The Shack (I think I liked it a little more than you did). I was going to read The Lace Makers book but maybe I won't now. The rest of your list is on my list of books to read too.
It looks like you read a lot! I used to but I have such bad floaters I don't do too much reading anymore.
I love your little pitcher set. Those trees are really beautiful.
Have a wonderful evening
Iris
What beautiful leaves on those trees! And the chintz is gorgeous. I haven't read that many books in a year, I'm ashamed to say. Just lined up on my bookshelf crying: "read me, read me!"

I just adore your book list. What a great way to get the titles and ratings of books via blogland. I just wish that I had more time to read. My reading pile is quite high. Perhaps this winter I'll find bits of time to sit with a book. Love the chintz and the autumn photo's. We had snow here today with very cold temps. I do believe Old Man Winter is rearing his head! Thanks for stopping by. I always love visiting with you.
I'm going to see if our library has the John Adams DVD....I'd love to see it.
Thanks for your book list. I always like to get new suggestions for reading.
You have read SO MANY books! I like your rating system too!
I will look into the John Adams series! I remember when the Post Office was advertising it!
Wonderful fall photos (doesn't the season just take your breath away!!!???) and those of your grandchildren are delightful!
I loved the book Time Travelers Wife. I have not seen the movie. The author has just had a new book published and I bought it today at Barnes and Noble.
