Bloom where you are planted.

I love this saying and over the years I have lived in different areas of the country trying to be the best that I can be wherever I find myself.
It’s nice to slow down and decide what’s important. We’ve made some big changes this year and now I read more, walk more and enjoy living a simpler life.
It’s a good time of the year to be thankful for what we have and make the most of it.

I like to walk for 45 minutes at least before I grab my camera but yesterday, I headed back to the car as soon as I started my walk when I saw this flock of ducks on the pond.

This is what I saw….

DSCN2608 and these are cropped photos.

DuckCrop2610 What a thrill! I hope your weekend has a few thrills, too!

I love that saying, and we've lived in lots of different places over the years, too.

You've captured some great shots here. I can almost here the ducks quacking! That one brilliant green head is gorgeous! Like an emerald sparkling in the sun.

What a wonderful saying! It's so true.

Taking a Walk outdoors is a great hobby. I always enjoy listening to the birds singing. In the winter a treadmill comes in handy for me, but you cannot beat a brisk walk oudoors.

Thanks for sharing your nature photos.

Hi Diane, Living more simple has been on my mind too. This was so refreshing to see this post today. I just returned from a walk and saw three small ducks swimming in our neighborhood pond. Through my life, I've had to constantly remind myself to slow down, love and live the day to its fullest and your reminder was in perfect timing.

As usual, I love the photos. And although I could not get outside today, I feel as if I did after viewing the world through your camera lens.
