“Wednesday Wee Ones”

This is a Himstedt doll named Julika. She is one of my favorites of course!

JulikaCute6046

Everyone says she is very lifelike. She is 32 inches tall and has amazing detail.

Well, sometimes I turn around and my dolls get in trouble. (Sadie is another Himstedt doll)

I'm strolling in to catch up and especially to wish you and your loved ones a Happy Thanksgiving!
It's such a wonderful time to stop and reflect on all those we cherish and are truly grateful for.
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to visit and leave feeling inspired!

Even though our Thanksgiving is very small in number, with hubby and son (we don't count the cat cause she doesn't like turkey). We don't scrimp on the menu...from appetizers to desserts with several carb loaded dishes in between! We will be enjoying tryptophan playoffs too!

Sweet Holiday wishes,
Sara

Can I come over to your house and play. Wow, what a wonderful collection you have. When I was a little girl growing up, we had a friend in Japan that used to bring me a new doll everytime they came to visit. When we moved back to the states, the gestured continued. I had a huge collection of so many different type of dolls that filled my room to the max.
All kinds from Asian porcelin dolls to beautiful bride dolls, baby dolls and so many different kinds. Well, when I got married, very young and pregnant, my husband didn't want me to take all the dolls with us. So wanting to please him I got rid of all of them and gave them all to a little hispanic girl that lived next door. She broke down into tears when I started bringing them all over to her. She used to come over to visit and always wanted to play with the bride doll. I gave that one to her last and by then she was sobbing and hugging me. It made the whole process of getting rid of them a memorable experience.
I haven't told that to anyone for a very long time and it just surprized me that it all came flooding back to me.
Thanks for taking the time to read all of this.
Thanks again for visiting my blog and sharing your comments too.
