I've been to Jekyl Island several times. One morning I awoke to open the drapes and found the islands only deer curled up and sleeping on my patio! I opened the door and she came right in, had some pecan brittle and wandered off. We found out later that this was the only deer on the island but the hotel owner was surprised she actually came inside! I've always had that way with animals so I guess she felt safe.

I liked your post on decorating with shells. I love the beach & grew up in Malibu, California. You could actually find beautiful shells up & down the coast many years ago. I covered a large frame for a mirror with a lot of my shell finds. Shells are the ocean's treasured jewels.
My dream is to live in Maui (vacationed there many times), where the seashells are endless...
