Want to go on a picnic?

I realize that many of you are bracing for a big winter storm....so I hesitate to post photos of our picnic today. But maybe it will give you hope for Spring!

DSCN3894

We drove over to Shalom Park and sat on a bench and ate our sandwiches and cold coffee drinks.

DSCN3884

Then we walked around the park taking photos of the camillia bushes.

DSCN3897

We saw some winter wrens, cardinals and other small birds and a handsome hubby! lol

DSCN3893

Then we stopped at a bakery and got a loaf of Cranberry Walnut Peasant bread! OH MY!

DSCN3904

It is a huge crusty loaf that is really not sweet except when you bite into a cranberry!

DSCN3905

It’s beautiful here in Florida today....74 degrees right now. Would anyone like to come for a little vacation?

Thank you to Everyday Bliss for featuring my photo on your post on Serenity. Hop over there! You’ll love her blog!

And a special thanks to Nikon Sniper for stopping by to see my beach photos and make comments! Thanks Steve! I use a  Nikon P 50 to take all of my photos. It’s small enough to carry everywhere! Thanks to my hubby for taking some amazing photos AND for making me a new banner! Here’s another ocean view on our last day there...looking the other direction!

Have a great day wherever you are! Stay warm and stay safe!

Wonderful photos!Lucky you, there's hot!
Here too spring is about to show up...Flowers are blooming, and days are longer..which is good.
I also read your comment about rice and risotto and I wanted to answer..:) Risotto (italiano), well yes, definitely I can mae it and I can name but a few of the ways I make it: Risotto alla milanese, risotto ai carciofi( with artichokes), risotto ai funghi(with mushrooms),risotto al pomodoro(tomato sauce), allo champagne, alla parmigiana(parmesan)and so on ..:) Risotto is mainly made in Italy with italian rices, whilst for curry rice, as you can see, I only boil a Thai/Basmati rice and add the curry afterwards-which is easier than making a risotto. But now tht you wrote about it, guess what, I will post something in the next days/weeks about risotto! :)

LOVELY POST,
as always!!!

My beautiful pink camellias froze and fell off when we had that awful cold snap. I'll have to wait a whole year for their return :P

What a beautiful park to stroll in. The beach photo with the way the clouds covered is really beautiful!

You know I really don't blame y'all for spending the winter in Florida. I'm frozen to the core!

We have about 6 inches of snow so far and it is still falling. We are suppose to end up with about 15 inches I guess. But you know what? I LOVE it! I think it is suppose to snow in the winter. I lived in Fl for many years and missed the changes of season.

Your picnic place looks wonderful, and maybe at the end of Feb I will be ready to head to Naples, Fl for some sun...maybe.

Diane, that's one of our favorite breads too. And we also buy cranberry orange bread. Yum! Try it with cream cheese! Heavenly!

BTW...What did you mean that you think we're both around the same age? Would that be 35 or so? ;-)

Lovely flowers in your photos!
