I must admit I'm loving the barbies of my little ones. Will we ever grow to old to not loving these lovely ladies?
Have a wonderful Wednesday, Diane xx
Hi Diane,
Your Barbie Collection is great. I loved Barbie too and had a dark haired doll with the bubble hair style when I was a little girl. I wish I had her now. She was passed down to family. I don't think we are ever too old for barbie. Your Wednesday Wee ones are always such a treat.
Love the post below too of your day in the park. What great pics.
Thank you for stopping by tonight and your kind comment.
Hugs, Celestina Marie
how fun! i certainly loved barbies growing up....loved doing their hair and making up new outfits. i can't wait until my baby is older and *needs* to have some barbies. ;)
I've always thought Barbie's clothes were beautiful. My daughters loved Barbie and Midge.
The first Barbie doll I ever bought was for my niece. She was three dollars. I think it was in 1959 or 1960. Her clothes were so inexpensive then. A pink satin evening gown with white fur stole or trim stands out in my memory. I have often thought about collecting them because our house is small and they wouldn't take up much room. It's kind of late in life for me to start I guess. We will see. :)
I love the clothes you sewed for your Barbies.

I remember when both Basbie and Ken first came to be, and I had both dolls as a child. It was so much fun dressing them up!
It must be so hard for you to choose a favorite doll, Diane, as every one you've shown us from your collection is so special!
I just adore Barbies too! I saved up my money and bought my very first one when I was five years old. She had a black curly bubble hair do. My sister got the one with the ponytail a few years later. Oh my, but I coveted her doll so much! I bought myself a pony tail replica one a few years back. I would so love to be able to buy more collectible ones. Perhaps one day! xxoo
Oh, Barbies this week! I may have shared before, but I will never forget my cousin bringing Lily home from Germany. I was mesmerized. Lily, soon after, became Barbie and I was able to own my own! Sure wish I still had her.
Oh I remember so well how I loved playing with Barbie. Actually, I was a Tammy girl, but my sister liked Midge. She looked like Midge so could identify with the freckles.
Hello Diane! How are you my lovely friend? I hope you're doing well!
I've enjoyed catching up with your blog..how many pretty pressies have you received lately?! You lucky thing!
Oh yes, Barbie has always been my favourite doll!
Take care

This brings back lots of memories...I still have my very first Barbie that I got on my birthday when I was 5 years old.

I was a fan of PJ, but she belonged to my sister.
When Barbie came out (oops! was presented to the world), I was beyond playing with dolls--or so I thought--until I began collecting many years later.
I never had a Barbie. I am from the Tiny Tears and Betsy Wetsy generation.
