This year I’ve enjoyed the BEST fall season in………I can’t remember how long! I usually don’t look forward to this time of year but I may not be able to say that ever again!
We’ve gone so many interesting places and had so many wonderful experiences!
These photos were taken on our land in the mountains, North of Asheville….
right on the NC and TN border.
It was a beautiful day…..
the leaves turning but the temperatures mild….
the kind of day that reminds
me of growing up in Arkansas.
I love barns! heehee! this is the view from our property….
So is everyone proud of me? After having bad feelings about Fall for SO many years….I am falling in love with the season! So at any age…we can change!
Do you think your tastes have changed over the years? Is there something you like now, that you never liked before?

Hi Sweetie, thanks for following the high street cottage, and for the lovely comment. The scenic photos you are displaying are stunning! Would make a nice landscape for any good painter. My Dad loves painting such scenes. Thanks again, tami
So glad you are enjoying this beautiful season - Fall! It is a colorful time of year. I am enjoying your vibrant photos!

As always your photos are gorgeous.
I love Fall and all it's red and golds. We don't see that much here in Southern Ca. The red and golds that we do have I always enjoy.
It is funny how we do change our likes and dislikes through the years. As a child I was terrified of Electrical storms and now I love them. As a child I couldn't stand vegetables now I love quite a few.
I am glad you are enjoying Fall now.
Man-oh-man, the colors are so vivid! What fabulous photos.

Gorgeous scenery and I can see why it reminds you of Arkansas. I love old barns too and other old buildings too.
Oh my! What scrumptious views you have from that property. Are you planning to build there one day? Yes, I do think we can grown and change and begin to enjoy things in new ways. It helps, too, when we've had an aversion to a season or place to experience it on a new plane as you've done this autumn. It has helped reshape your thinking. Smart hubby you've got there as I'm sure that he is behind this! :D
grow and change, not grown/groan and change...Ha! That might be more the way it works.
Oh, I'm so happy that you can enjoy this beautiful season!! For over 40 years, I enjoyed the New England Fall - it was my most favorite season! But, now that I am in Texas - I think Spring may just be the new one for me - we'll see! Thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures :)
I love your fall photos! It is a beautiful world that you live in and travel through!
I changed about a color--I once did not like "school bus yellow" but later it became a favorite ( back when I was a brunette and could wear it! LOL!)
I love that rickety old barn and all those colors...it's so pretty! It's admirable of you to say you can change at any age...I feel this way, too. Life is so wonderful and so many great things are in place for us if we just open our minds and hearts. Sometimes it is the hardest work to do that.
Have a nice weekend...hope you do something fun!
the fall pictures are so lovely...it is important to take time to see the colors
I think we constantly grow and change-even we do not notice it because it can be such a gradual process.
I did not enjoy autumn weather until moving to North Florida. Until my adult years, I never really experienced a change of seasons. In South Florida, its always warm. If its cold, its a crisis. :-)
Beautiful autumn photos.

Fall is such a beautiful time of year, especially in the mountains. I wish I could think of something I like now that I didn't like before but I guess I'm a bit set in my ways...lol..... Maybe being retired.
What lovely, lovely photos of some gorgeous places. You sure have had some lovely times.

Great photos, I love that area of NC!
Gorgeous photos, Diane!

You don't need to come up north to see pretty autumn foliage, Diane --you have it right there! I love the old weathered barn photo snuggled in the trees.
Beauty is right outside our front doors in this part of the U.S. this time of the year, isn't it? I LOVE FALL!!
