Here they come...Two by Two!

My most favorite find this week was this pair of Kittens!

DSCN7180

They are by Avon. They don’t even seem like my ‘style’....

DSCN7207

but they make me smile!

Isn’t it funny that you will find something one week at a thrift

store and then find another one the next time you go in?

DSCN7186

I found these sock darners at two different stores!

DSCN7185

And I think these are butter stamps.

DSCN7182

Am I right about that?

DSCN7183

And I actually use the egg rings so I was happy to find

DSCN7181

two of them...on two different days!

How about a pair of doll shoes for a nickle!

DSCN7187

I’m sure they’ll fit someone in this house!

I’m joining....Vintage Thingie Thursday

and Time Travel Thursday

and Thrifty Thursday

and Thrifty Things Friday!

I’m linking to Honey’s Potpourri Party, too!

Let’s see...what else would be good to come in TWOS?

I’m wishing you a day that’s DOUBLE the FUN!!!

Doll shoes for a nickel, now that's a good buy. What an easy way to keep a kid in shoes. Those butter stamps (I'm not sure either) are so cute. Are you going to give your butter pats a whirl?

Well....Miss Lavender Dreams - first it was dolls, now kitties and DOLL shoes.

I am still standing here, arms crossed, tapping my paw AT YOU.

I don't even see a trace of teddy bear fur. Not a trace.

Hugs, no "heaps of hugs" till I see some "kin".

Sweet little kittens. I am not a cat lover, but I would have bought them also. They are so cute. I have one press like that and yes, I think it's for butter too. Good thriftin girl!

My sister used to sell Avon, but I do not recall seeing the two little Kittens. So cute.

I love all of your finds, especially the butter stamps.

Thank you for stopping by and wishing me well. I wanted to thank you for the heads up on the Ghastlies event on the 22nd. What fun. Who would have thought that so many people had discovered that fabric collection.

I wish you twice as much inspiration for your day.

You are so right about finding a duplicate and being surprised. It's funny how every once in a while something will catch our eye that normally we would pass by. Your Avon Kitties are sweet.

I have those kitties in my kitchen hutch! Guess I did not know or remember they were Avon. I am not into pink, but could not leave them behind.
The rest of your goodies look like they came from my revent box of treasure. we think(or thrift) much alike.

I have a little butter churn like the one on the right. It was my mother's. When she was a girl in the 1940's, she took art lessons, and the teacher had her paint a ring of tiny flowers at the top. It means so much to me! So, I would say, your little churn is from the 1940's.

Hey there Diane - stopping by to say hello. I have been out of the mix these last few weeks...with a big project at work which is almost complete. I sure have missed my blogging buddies. Are you back in Florida yet? IT is finally cooling off. Have a great weekend!

The butter molds are great. You can do lots of little butters (good for herb-y (parsley, chive, etc.) butter); also you can use the little top to stamp sugar cookies. Or you can just keep them on a shelf and enjoy your little works of art.

You did very well.

I had found a really nice table, and a little chair the first time I went this summer. And then nothing.... beginners luck?

Let's hope that the good streak keeps going for both of us.

Great treasures you've found lately at your thrift stores! I haven't been in a while, but the last time I went (about two months ago) I found an AWESOME, solid oak drop-leaf kitchen table with beautiful porcelain wheels, for the price of....are you ready for this?....$3.99!! Yes really...three dollars and ninety-nine cents! It's sitting in front of the large window in my living room. I really must get back out there and hunt for more treasures soon! BTW, I love the kittens! :o)

XOXO,

Cyndi

My MIL came out from Ontario for a visit and saw me darning DH's work socks over a tennis ball. (Yes, I DO darn them because he has VERY large feet and it is tough to find socks big enough for him.) Shortly after she returned home, I got a parcel in the mail. Inside was one of these darning dojiggers and some grey yarn wool. She took it from her own stash - not many MILs would be that thoughtful, I think. Wanda in Edmonton
