I know someone showed a wire chicken basket on their blog
because I added it to my ‘wish list’ when I saw it!
I was thrilled to find one this week at my favorite thrift store for $1! I had a little crate of eggs already so I put them in and placed it on top of my fridge!
I was surprised to see a post by my girlfriend, Anne at Bird/Like showing the one she bought this week for a quarter! Here’s a photo of HERS!!!
So who else has one? I went to the blog where I thought I had seen it but couldn’t find it in a search!
So I’m really curious now...
WHO else has a wire chicken ‘egg basket’?
Curious minds need to know!!!
PS My sweet kittens below are a cream pitcher and sugar bowl! (they are a little bigger than they appear in the photos!)

Not I. Yours and hers are cute.
I used to have one but silly me, I think I sold it in a yard sale several years ago. I think from now on I am going to keep everything because I usually find a use for whatever it was after it's too late. Yours looks nice perched on top of the fridge.-------Shannon
I have two, I love the look of them, I have some of the fake (but real looking) eggs in mine.
Cute! I do not have one, although I have a little wires chicken/egg stand that holds 6 eggs.
I had one years ago, wonder what happened to that? Hummmm, I wonder if you now have my old one:@)
Not sure who else has that, but yours sure is cute!
I do and I love it! I don't put eggs in mine, I've got a cute kitchen towel twisted in it, for color in my kitchen!
I have one that is like yours, but the color of your friends. I've got mine, full of eggs, and sitting on my bakers rack. Don't think I've ever shown it on my blog though..unless it's in the background of one of my pics.
I'm thinking of painting mine black like yours!
Oh, I wish I could tell you it was me - but I can't! Love your Rooster basket! Now I want one! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I've got one! I usually keep it on my "chicken/egg" shelf, but now that it's fall, I've got it on my wooden ironing board sofa table. I got mine at a yard sale, but the woman wouldn't let it go for less than $3.00! I loved it and got it anyway. They're just too cute!
I am also on a quest...I am looking for a vintage egg scale...what is it about chickens and eggs!? I used to have a wire chicken basket...can't for the life of me, remember what I did with it!!

I don't have one, but I wish I did!

Hi Diane,
I love these cute chicken baskets and the one you found at the thrift store is so cute. Looks great a top your fridge. I know I had a copper one years ago. Not sure what happened to it. Maybe it was in the box the movers lost when we moved. You know you can't remember what you had till you see another or go to look for it. I guess that basket is gone forever. Now I will have to be on the look out for one too. LOL
Darling kitty creamer and sugar bowl too.
Have a wonderful evening sweet friend.
XO Celestina Marie
How fun! I thought it would be cute to show how we both bought one at thrift shops the same week, glad you thought of it!
I didn't have one

I have a chicken egg basket almost identical to yours- we have so many of the same things! I appreciate your recent note...you are so sweet and I'm happy to call you friend!
My sister likes pigs, so I found her a pig basket in copper toned wire one year. Love the birds!
I love those wire egg baskets!
I have a chicken egg basket that I have had for over 20 years. I decorate the top of my cupboards with chicks and roosters. He still resides there, never have tired of him.
I dont have a wired chicken basket.. but would love to have one.. Thats the cutest I've seen.. :-)
You and I are the best thrifters ever! At the So Cal Social I saw the exact chicken basket in an antique store for $16.00... ha!
