We always enjoy getting back to Florida to see the birds in our feeders!
This year we came back to find a pretty little blue morning glory growing under the bird feeders.
This little black capped chickadee said,
‘Excuse ME...I’m trying to EAT here!’ heehee!
I found this sweet book at the thrift store
and fell in love with the beautiful illustrations!

When I will have a garde I will create a big coloured Hotel for birds,I love them!

Love your feeders! I enjoy watching the birds at the feeders too! Last winter I had about 10 bluebirds in a planter - it was awesome!

My mom always grew these morning glories in our backyard--your picture brought back some good memories! I also love the book--right up my alley--I would have grabbed this one up too!

I actually remember that little book from my childhood. I was so taken by the illustrations. Great post!
I remember that book too - the sweet illustrations and the lovely, soft use of the colours. I loved it!
We also get so much enjoyment out of the birds in the garden. V
We have quite a few regulars at our bird feeders but my favourites are the cardinals and chickadees.

Beautiful mosaics. We keep feeders all winter and enjoy the birds so much. During summer we feed hummingbirds. Fun to watch their antics.
Lots of birds in our yard still, of course it's warm here in NC. We've had some unusual ones this year but I just enjoy them and never search out their names ... maybe when I'm retired! Guess you have left our fair state by now!
That's a sweet book and 1954 was a great year. Yes, you'll be seeing lots of visitors coming along any day now. What fun that must be!
What a sweet book. You are reminding me that our feeders are empty already. I'm guessing our naughty raccoons have full tummies again.

Love that book. Wonder if you can find it on line anywhere? The issustrations are so cute. I had the prettiest bluebird (quite large) eating seeds from one of my sunflowers this morning. By the time I ran to grab the camera he was flying away. Darn, isn't that just how it goes?
I wish we could still feed the birds around our home, but we stopped when a little chipmunk kept getting stuck inside the feeders. We still have the bird bath out for them though.

We have a Mockingbird family that calls our place home, and they hang out near the blue morning glory. Birds are great for sharing seeds and growing plants. You never know what may pop up!

The only bird feeder I have out is for the hummingbirds and they are very active right now. I don't usually put out other bird feeders until it gets a little cooler. I love your cute little "Jenny Wren" book!!!

What a cute book! We didn't put up bird feeders when we moved in to this house... too many cats around. But we have had some very cool winged visitors in the trees out back.

I love your Morning Glory....how beautiful! We have a bird feeder, too, and I love seeing the little ones come there to feed. Am busy preparing for a trip to Houston for my son and his fiance's bridal shower. They are having a Baja theme shower for couples on Saturday. Should be fun! Those pictures in the book are so sweet! I do have a lot of birds at my feeder and just yesterday there was a turkey vulture in my backyard! I almost fell off my chair, it was so huge! Unfortunately, I couldn't get a picture of it through the window. Pretty amazing, though.

lovely morning glory..the leaf looks different than the traditional morning glory leaf. it is usually heart shaped. but Im no expert...Im into owls again I wish I could see a real on..does anyone know how to attract a screech owl to come. I heard they make owl houses. but i read that must owls do not build a nest.they use old ones from other birds

The book you featured brings back memories to me - one that seems so familiar or perhaps it was another by the same illustrator. We are seeing flocks of geese here and just last week there were some robins enjoying a stop on the front lawn. thanks for your visit!

What a lovely surprise! I have morning glories all around my house on trellises -- they come back year after year, even with our harsh winters they re-seed themselves. That book is just ADORABLE!
This makes me want to go get a bird feeder. Also love the books they are so cute.
