“Rock-a-bye baby”
Could there be any sweeter book for babies or bears?
My bear is holding an old 1956 Junior Elf book to read to the baby dolls.
Aren’t the illustrations
and nursery rhymes precious?
Enjoy your day!
Let something you love put a smile on your face!

So sweet! You've got quite a collection! I was never into dolls much. I was a "cowgirl"! LOL!

Reminds me of those classic Bessie Pease Gutman prints!
There must have been a copy of this book floating around my grandma's house. I remember the cover! Thanks for the memory! I always wondered why I associated the rhyme with that picture in my head.
Big Hugs!
How precious! I am really envious of your collection name mate! Happy weekend!
Oh my goodness, so, so sweet! I love illustrations with babies in cradles!
Those books have the best illustrations. My favorite are Eloise Wilkens. My kids like the stories in vintage books the best too.

I like very much fairies old books and epecially their illustrations!
Totally precious, Diane. I love children's old books :)
I really like your presentation. Vintage Children's Book, Dolls and Teddy Bears. How sweet it is. :)
those illustrations are so perfect... why have we lost that sweet, innocent aesthetic? One of my favorite childhood memories is reading the three children's books that my mom had from her childhood in the 40s, I just loved the illustrations. (Look at the price on your book! It probably would cost 50 times that now...)
Hi Diane-
You told me today that you didn't know where your doll posts "fit", but I think they make your blog special. Please keep them up because they are darling! I always get a kick out of seeing those cute little faces, and just today I was thinking I need to get out some of my dolls to show on my blog. Mine all wouldn't be set up as cute as yours, and that's what I love to see.
Too bad they don't make cute books like that anymore. The illustrations are adorable.
Hope you're having a great weekend, my friend!

I so miss the good ole days. Children's books were so much sweeter than they are today. I love your little bear, and the doll holding the little lamb.
A wonderful book
Love the illustrations and writing.
Have a glorious weekend and Happy Valentine's Day
