Do you know what a Knap-In is?
It’s a festival of Flint Knappers, people who make stone tools such as spear points and knives.
Click HERE to read more about it!
This festival took place at the Silver River State Park and was so interesting with exhibits and demonstrations.
We had a wonderful day!
(this was last weekend! Today was more of a 'nap in’ kind of day…rainy and cool!)
I’m joining Mary at the dear little red house
for Mosaic Monday! I hope you’ll join us!
And here’s a sneak peek at some fabric I’m using for a new wristlet.
It will be in my shop this week!

Fascinating - it is nice to know that some of the old skills are being preserved. Have a great Sunday!

What an interesting post, I have seen the tools but I did not know about Knap-In. Looks like a fun festival and I see a Goldie dog there that could pass as my Goldie Girl's twin. Thanks for sharing, have a great week!
I'm glad you explained that or I would've showed up with my blankie :D
Hello Diane
Sounds like a wonder knap festival and today, I did like you did and took a nap.
Hope you have a great week.

Enjoy St. Patrick's Day. Diane, the abbreviation for Patrick is Paddy or Pat. Paddy is a common name in Ireland.
(Patti is the abbreviation for the girl's name Patricia).

Thanks for visiting my little blog project and commenting about the tundra swans.
Looks like we both had interesting days last week with your Knap-In and my swans - how diverse is blogging!
Diane, you always find the neatest places to go. I checked out your wristlets, very pretty. For me, it's always a big bag so my camera and pretty much the kitchen sink can travel along.
