February was ‘A Month of Letters’ and I enjoyed it immensely! As a matter of fact, I enjoyed it more than 50 times! I sent over 50 cards and letters last month. And I still have about 6 or so names on my list. So if you were one of the over 50 friends that said you would like to hear from me in February…don’t give up! I’m actually very happy to continue this month so if you would like to get a card, postcard or letter from me, email your name and address and I will add you to my list!
Thanks again to
Becky Povich: Writer Searching for Bliss
for posting about this so that I could take part and to
for presenting the challenge! It has made a big difference in my life…it has literally changed my life!
And a special thanks to everyone who wrote me back! It has been fun to have cards and letters in the mailbox instead of just bills and junk mail! heehee!
Here are some of the cards I got at the Art Show a couple of weeks ago. I love buying cards from artists. You get a sample of their work and a unique card as a memory of the event! (sometimes I even frame them)

50 letters! You are so nice to do that, I am sure you made special days for many people as they checked their mailbox.
I'm getting caught up on your blog and love your creations on your Dream Designs! I used that same owl fabric below to make a dress for my daughter...hope you are well!
So sweet. You are one dedicated southern lady!!
Nothing like receiving a letter in the mail. How sweet you are.
I'm still writing letters too from the challenge, but then I always write letters. Glad to have met you through this though! And although I thought I had your blog to go to my google reader, it's not showing up. Looks like I missed a lot.
That is just a wonderful challenge that you met! I love the and I love that you did it and enjoyed it. I used to co-own a company that printed artist's cards for them. xo Diana
I love getting cards in the mail but I find my friends and I are e-mailing more often. I fear regular mail's demise.
I know you made me feel special when I got your card. It was a wonderful idea sending real mail again.
I don't know if I told you but your blog header photo is gorgeous.
Hugs,
Susan
How sweet! I love to get mail and I do send cards but need to write more letters. Hugs, Linda
Thank art of letter writing is fast becoming something you don't see much anymore. Keep writing!! I will inspire others to do the same. xoxo Kim @ Bluebirds and Butterflies
Hi Diane,
Stopping by to say hello. You are so right, it is fun to get letters and cards in the mail.
hugs
Sissie
I can't remember the last time I got a letter! What a great idea!
Blessings, Joanne
That is a lot of letter writing, are your fingers cramped? Sounds like you had a lot of fun. Enjoy your Friday. Cyndy
Thank you for letting me visit you. I am your newest member. Feel free to visit me in the orchard.
I'm so excited!! Wanted to take part too :p Will email you my details ok ;)
XOXO
I suppose part of the reason a lot of people don't send cards anymore is because of the price of postage. I've noticed in the last couple of years since postage went up, we don't even get half the Christmas cards we used to receive.
Since I rarely get "real mail" as I call anything but junk mail, it was thrill that you took the time to send me a card. Hope you have a great Friday.
Hi Diane! I thought for sure I'd stopped by yesterday and left a comment here.....Hmm, guess not! Anyway, thanks so much for mentioning me. I'm glad I happened upon the writing challenge somewhere and was able to participate, too. (I still "owe" some notes/letters. I didn't do as well as you did!) Hugs...Becky
What a challenge ya set before yourself. I can see how this can be life changin girl!
I still have a card-box and send 'em through snail mail. There's just somethin' 'bout gettin' a handwritten note.
Have yourself a fantastically blessed weekend sweetie!!! :o)
Hope you get sun today, we have been cloudy today,so glad I got out yesterday! I also love the idea of getting and sending mail again. Thanks for getting me involved!
Wow! 50 letters in one month is a lot. That is very sweet to do.
I love the cards you posted.
Dee
What a great way to enjoy your mailbox ... receiving all these lovely cards. Yes, anything is better than a bill & moreso when from your friends.
Have a lovely PS weekend ~

Ciao Bella!

I really wanted to join you in doing this, and I intend to one of these days. We all need to slow down a little and truly appreciate the people in our lives. I love the way you appreciate the people and friends in your life!
I enjoyed getting your pretty letter, Diane! It is a very nice surprise to get mail that isn't bills or charity requests these days.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Hi Diane.. :)
I have always loved stationery but was never a good letter writer and was terrible at it. I did answer my letters when someone wrote..but I was never the first to write as a rule.
When Pat was overseas in Korea and in Vietnam, I wrote to him every evening..the thought of him going a day without a letter at mail call was more than I could bear.
Such pretty note cards!! I can certainly see why you would want to frame some..
Just beautiful!!
Thank you for visiting my blog and for your kind comments, it gives me a chance to visit you here.
What a lovely idea to send a letter or a card each day for a month. I have so many cards and pretty paper left over from my writing days. It would be a good idea to put it to some use, so I've decided to get it all out and write everyday for a month (except Sundays) starting today!
Have a great weekend!
I loved my card and I just received one that I am going to send to you, so be on the lookout for it :)
Thanks for visiting me yesterday! Great idea with letters, they sure are more fun to send and receive than mails! Hugs from Kaiserswerth in chilly Rhineland, Valerie
Thank you for your lovely seashell post card. The shells in hour area are beautiful. This writing challenge was so much fun. I enjoy reading all the blogs and making new friends even if I have stopped blogging ... thinking about starting up again. I was just at the Philly Flower Show and took photos so that I can make my own cards. If you hear of another writing challenge let me know. Happy St. Patrick's day!
For some reason my iPad spelled our like hour in my previous post to you. I can spell but get frustrated with my iPad when it over rides my correct spelling and spells things wrong:-)
I had not heard about this! I'm going to check it out -- I love writing letters! I'm determined to preserve this lost art for at least my kids. Even though I do send emails, I never send an email 'thank you' note -- I hate those.
Hee, hee I got something better from you last month than a letter. I hope I can post about my cute purse this week. I am back online...YAY!!!! :D
I hope you are enjoying your SUnday, my friend.
xo,
Ricki Jill
Gorgeous cards, I am a new follower. Best regards from Rome, Italy!
