Well, I almost missed out on joining this wonderful party. But Vee told me I had a little time!
The highest peak in the photos below is Mt. Pisgah in the Appalachian Mountain range and part of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We hiked this mountain last summer and I posted about it HERE ! (entitled ‘Not for wimps !’)
I took all of these photos from our balcony here in Asheville, NC.
What a beautiful view….
one that changes for every season and all through the day!
I’m joining Vee at A Haven for Vee .
Thank you! ♥

How beautiful,a very restful place I would think. xx
Hi Dianne
This is spectacular and we drove through here on Monday as the sun rose. It is awesome and the scale and volume is almost impossible to capture in a photo. Like the Grand Canyon, one must visit it in person.
A great post
Helen xx
Wowzeer! Diane, all the photos are breathtaking. I miss my mountains! So glad I have you to share them. Just stunning!
Absolutely GORGEOUS photos!! Love them!! Thanks for stopping by my bloggy!! I appreciate it!
Oh wow! Those are beautiful pictures.

Just under the wire, Diane! =D So beautiful. You have the most delightful views there in the mountains and all from your own balcony.
Oh how I would love to be sitting on your balcony with my morning coffee!
How beautiful. I absolutely love that area of the country and Asheville is one of my favorite places ever. xo Diana
Gorgeous photos of gorgeous scenery! xo
Yea! I love them all!
You're lucky to have such pretty views in both places you live. Many of us have to travel to see this kind of beauty, so I'm envious you just look out the window. Thanks for sharing your life with us Diane!
Beautiful photos! I know you had a wonderful time there!
Diane,
First of all - your photos are lovely. The rainbow is amazing. I love looking out and seeing the mountains in the distance (we have them here, but they are very different from where you are). They remind me of the majesty of God.
Your previous post on eating well and healthy is inspirational. I always am fighting those 5 lb or so,up and down, up and down, although I do lead a healthy lifestyle. My downfall is sugar, because I crave it so, and love to bake. Your post is helpful because it affirms a lot of the things I have incorporated already and it works for you.
Thank you for the encouragement!
You do have a marvelous view from your Asheville, NC home, Diane! Your photos would make a perfect set of note cards. I especially love the rainbow photo!
What beautiful sites...I love the Carolinas! Go there every year!!
Beautiful pictures! :)
Hugs,
So funny...I woke to a rainbow too...but in very different surroundings!! lovely views from your balcony!! Joan
I didn't realize you also lived in the mountains. I grew up on the Tennessee side of the mountains, and really miss seeing them. Thanks for sharing your view!
All of them are beautiful, but I really love the first one and the rainbow. Wonderful selections for Vee's party ... travel cards and beautiful scenery!
Glad you still had time to get in the party because I wouldn't have wanted to miss seeing that view and I love a rainbow. I love Asheville, such a wonderful artistic community, and you've shared with us your lovely artistic snaps of the mountains. Thanks!

Oh my goodness -- having a view like that SURELY must be illegal! Lovely pictures!
Wow, these photos are terrific!! I'll have to read your post about climbing Mt. Pisgah. Is that the town of Black Mountain I see in that first picture (beautiful rainbow)? We live in North Carolina and also love visiting the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Thank you for visiting my blog and have a great weekend!
Denise
Breathtaking pictures namemate! I've gone mountain climbing only once yet. And seeing pictures of beautiful mountains make me want to repeat the experience.
Diane, it's beautiful! I love that photo with clouds the most, such a dramatic view!
What gorgeous photo's of the Blue Ridge Mts. I am still using my little wooden basket that my bunnies came in. I put a saucer in it and am determined to use it for my Spring decor! So sweet. Bunnies are sleeping until next Easter.. :) Although...
Gorgeous photos, Dianne. I love the Blue Ridge Mntns.
How lucky of you to have a breathtaking view like that from your balcony....Christine
