It sounds like all I’ve done is shop on this trip
but I had a mission to find something on this excursion!
Aaahhh....I found them!
I love these Swedish dishcloths!
They’re all I use now!
I wrote a little more about them in a post HERE !
Mast General has some wonderful products!
It’s a fun place to shop!
And we didn’t even go upstairs to look at sporting goods.
Here’s my little bag of goodies!
Dishcloths and candy for hubby!
Do you remember some of these old timey candies?

What a fun, fun place to visit! I'd love to wander through that store. I especially love the wall of old signs.
Looks like a delightful place! I'd get lost in there! Have I told you how I like your new header.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
OMG, I'm loving this store! I love those cast iron pans and specially the one for the corn on a cub, I've never seen one like it..perfect!! The dish cloths you like also sound great! Thanks for sharing, I even had fun only with your post.

FUN Diane! I love this place. Those owls were just the cutest. My Jack would have a ball in this candy store YIKES!
I remember teaberry gum. I remember finding teaberry in the woods and chewing on it, too. What is a Swedish dishcloth? I'm intrigued.
What a fabulous store! I'd have so much fun wandering around. Love those hand towels.
I've been in a couple of stores like this one and find I can spend hours looking but usually only buy a few small items. To me these stores are more for entertainment than for buying. I'm curious about the Swedish dishclothes.
Wow! What a great spot to browse. I love those dishcloths!
I've never tasted the Teaberry Gum, but the "Teaberry Shuffle" was so catchy! :) Browsing through a General Store is FuN! So many finds.

I'll have to check out those dishcloths! I do remember penny (lol) candy back in the day! That looks like a fun store to shop in. hugs, LInda
What an AWESOME looking store! The candy area alone, looks amazing!!
I love going to Cracker Barrel, so I can get all of my old timey favorite candies! I always liked Teaberry and Black Jack and Beemans gum. And pixie sticks and candy dots stuck to the piece of paper and you ate more of the paper than the candy. Yep, those were the good old days!
What a neat place. I'd love to find some of those Swedish cloths.
Oh this place looks amazing! It looks like you could spend hours just looking around!

Sounds like a very useful dish cloth! I went in some stores just like that when I was visiting the USA with my family a few years ago. You could find absolutely everything. I loved it! Joan
Neat dish cloths. What do they feel like texture wise?
I bet hubby and I could browse that store for quite a while...at least I know I could!

I have never heard of these cloths. They sound wonderful. I have a sponge that I use for scrubbing the sink and I stick it in the microwave for a minute on high to kill all the germs on it. What a fun store to visit- xo Diana
This looks like a wonderful place my dear! :)
Hugs,
If only my country is a bus ride from that beautiful place, I would have rushed to go shopping or strolling with the beautiful products and scenery. Great shots name mate! The place looks so lovely.
Looks like great fun & yes I do! I also remember going to a store like this in Kentucky where my great grandmother was from & there were cracker barrels & pickled pigs feet in jars.

The original Mast General Store in the mountains of North Carolina is a wonderful place! So fun to photograph! We have one of their stores here too in downtown Knoxville. The penny candy always calls my name, LOL!
I seen you on Sandies page so thought I would drop in to look at your home page. Very nice. I just did a sort of called Crash book pages inside for my Grandson. He can answer some questions I gave him and then put in the so called answers in the envelope I enclosed. For his privacy. His book was my first to start changing an old book of 85 pages. What a job. After two weeks. I am almost to the end. I still want to add some rope on the cover spine. So I love crafts also. I made some mini books on my page. So gald I have met another happy crafter and love your photography. I take pictures also.
Happy weekends. I so rememeber those candies. Yummier!
I have been looking into your everything topics and sort of blogged in a comment here to find. oooooops. A different comment page so came back to put my pennies worth in.
I am from Canada and we had a store like this. I loved. It was called Wellan Collin. They since have sold out. My friend from Newbrunswick worked in this kind of store. Variety. She was in the section that they had sweets like cakes, bread. All the yummy pastries. She baked. In my place like this. They even had a tea place to sit and a Restaurant. Does this? Or strickly what I see. Crafts upstairs and photograpy and soaps?
