All play and no work?

I have seen a pattern in my posts lately. It looks like all I do is color in coloring books, decorate with dollies and watch my scarecrows dance!

WELL…my Hubby WORKS!!!

Let’s walk around back….

DSCN4652

One of the jobs waiting for the house to be painted….oh and the gutters to be installed…

DSCN4653

was new mulch in the flower beds.

And later we can plant some more azaleas and maybe some more roses.

60 BIG bags of mulch and a lot of man power and it’s starting to come together!

Thanks hubby! I think I’ll sew now. I’m in the middle of making a mouse and I have a bat that needs eyes.

DSCN4680

I know it’s a lot of play work…

but someone has to do it!

Enjoy your day!

And THANKS hubby!

I owe you a Yankee Dime!

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Our house needs painted very badly, but we are finding it impossible to select a color. Plus it's 2 stories plus the attic and I know i ain't getting' on no ladder! :)
Yours looks lovely.

Mice and bats are much more interesting than mulch any day. I think coloring and sewing sound like my kind of fun. Your yard and home look beautiful and well cared for so hubby must be doing what he likes as well. Enjoy your play, I mean work. Hugs

The house is looking amazing. Your bats and mice are so adorable. I'm already so over Halloween, except I still have one more project to do.

Have a lovely day,
Meri

Love the new fall header.....I wish I could use mulch but we have two dogs and they say it is not good because they tend to chew on it and eat it...glad you are keeping your husband busy ;)...Love your mice!!....I never even knew that lovely park even existed!!! It is absolutely beautiful...I plan on visiting very often as I drive on 200 twice a week!..and the caretaker says the babies should be flying in a few weeks.

This perfectly expresses how I feel when I'm doing my thing and poor hubby is working his franny off. Sigh. Maybe I'll make him some pumpkin muffins...

I know all too well how hard that landscaping work is! Good looking job!

Landscaping...eeeeeekkk!!! I leave that to my hubby too, but I do make him some fresh lemonade while he's at it. Does that count? ;)

LOVE the mouse and the bat, and I KNOW that they are so appreciative of you. That bat's is counting on those eyes. Important WORK we do, Diane. ;)

Have a great weekend.
XOXO's,
Marcia

Sounds like you have the right idea. Someone has to be the boss and delegate the work to the person who does it best, lol. We put down 45 bags of mulch a few weeks ago and because I felt guilty I helped. It was just too much for my guy to do alone and especially in this heat.

How sweet are your mouse and bat..
all my kids are grown and grandkids
live far from me so making such
sweet things is just not much fun
for me anymore..but I do many other
fun stuff..
thanks so much for your visit and
how nice you have the Mr. to put
out the mulch.. mine hates the
garden in any form.
happy weekend
Sandy

I think sewing IS a lot of work! I'm in need of some fall mulch, too...you can send your hubby right over when he finishes yours!

Thanks for the shout out - it's so funny about thinking the minster's wife looked familiar because I saw her pic before I read the details and thought there were a couple of writer friends that she looks like and expected you to be writing about one of them!
