Do you take photos of sunsets or sunrises?

I’m definitely a sunset kind of girl!

DSCN4631

And I took these one night this week.

DSCN4633

The very next morning, my ‘up at sunrise’ hubby took these to show me what a sunrise looks like.

DSCN4634

I decided NOT to edit or alter these in any way so that you can hopefully see the true colors.

(I didn’t even crop!)

We have some beautiful clouds here in Florida that lead to glorious sunsets and sunrises.

I’m joining Mary for Mosaic Monday

and Diane for Beautiful Sunday

and Sunny Simple Sunday !

So which are you?

Sunset or Sunrise?

I can't pick a favorite - I like both for different reasons! Great pictures tho.

Priceless pictures namemate!

Between sunrise and sunset? I love both but I guess sunrise is the closer to my heart. Why? I always attribute sunrise to new day, new hope, new life.

Thank you for never leaving my shy Beautiful Sunday party :D

Have a Beautiful Sunday and a great week ahead.

Thank you for sharing these pretty photos. I am an early riser and enjoy watching the sun come up from my kitchen window.

I'm a sunset kinda girl too Diane. I love being by the Lake and capturing the moment. You have some great shots here. Happy Sunday to you.

So beautiful. I think that is so fun that he showed you the sunrise. We had a such a red sunset last night that it reflected so deep in the windows of the house across the street. I am so glad you shared this.

Sunset for me, I like to sleep in as I go to bed late. Your photos are beautiful, I love how the clouds in Florida look like you can reach up and touch them. xo

You sure do have some beautiful skies. I think I'd be up early enough to watch the sunrise too. These brightened my day:-)

Just beautiful. I love pictures of the sky and sunsets. We had a pink sunset here in California just the other night and I called Lucie over to see it. She just couldn't believe it. A pink sky! I am going to show her your pictures!

Those are gorgeous photos! I'm a sunrise kind of girl and because I'm an early riser...way early...I almost never miss seeing one!

Beautiful! I am both! I'm an early riser, so I see many sunrises.

OH, I am definitely a SUNRISE GIRL! I love sunsets, but I am a morning person and FEEL THE CLOSEST to my creativity in the morning....wow...I thought you were in NC; this is FLORIDA???

LOVELY PHOTOS! THANK YOU for coming to visit me today! Anita

I see both. Sunrises are more easily seen as the view to the east is a little more open. We don't see much in the evening because we're tucked down too low below the trees. Your photos, and hubby's too, are wonderful and the color is spectacular!

Our cloud formations really do help the setting sun put on a show don't they....these were beautiful...tell your husband...nice job...oh...and thanks for including my comment in your post...that was sweet.

Sunrise. Sunsets are blocked by neighbors.

Cheryl said...

I've been catching up on your posts. I'm all over the place, but I see sunrises more (before I go back to bed) because trees block the sunset view. But photos are troublesome since power lines are in the way. So usually I just head on over to the beach at sunset and start gabbing with strangers! ha ha..and you're right, you usually find a common thread with them.

Gorgeous pictures, Diane! I love pictures of sunrise, sunset, and clouds in general! I just posted about that a couple of days ago, with pictures. Stop by if you have a minute!

Those are beautiful! Great captures!

The only time I am out taking photos of sunrises is when I am on vacation, LOL. Otherwise, I stick to sunsets!

Gorgeous colours all around. I'm more of a sunset girl myself. Although the days are shortening so much, soon I'll be up in time to see the sunrise, too. They are both beautiful.

Have a great week.

I'm def a sunset girl but last year I caught the sunrise on St Augustine Beach and drove home across the state to the west coast of Florida and saw the sunset on Manasota Key. That was fun.

Cheryl @ TFD said...

Lovely photos! I'm a sunset gal, myself. 'Fraid I don't get up early enough to see many sunrises since I'm a night owl! :-) I love to shoot sunsets.

I like being up for the sunrise, but I don't always make it. (Usually I can stay awake until after the sun sets ;>)!) Both ends of your day are beautiful!

I'm always amazed at the beauty we have in the sky, no matter what the weather. Tonight I gazed up when letting the dog out at 2am to see billions of stars, it seemed.

Great sunrise sunset pics!

Beautiful pictures ...hmmm...I have a hard time choosing which I like best.Since I'm more of a morning person ..probably sunrises would be my first choice...but...after a blissfully busy day...the sunset is a gift too.

From my area where we live I am more of a sunsetter ^_^ There are times I so wish I could see the sunrise but because of the tall trees I can't see it coming though I see the colors in the sky. ^_^ Gorgeous images here thanks for sharing.

I can never decide whether I like sunsets or sunrises the most... I like them both.

I really like the last photo, it almost looks like a cat face in the clouds. But then again, I could always see stuff in clouds that nobody else could!

Blessings

I enjoyed your pictures Diane. Nothing is quite as pretty as nature's beauty is it. I enjoyed the sunrise pictures best, probably because unlike your husband I'm not one of those up at the crack of down people. You know I am NOT a morning person. Hee hee!

Diane said...

Thanks for your visit and comments, much appreciated. I love good sunsets but we seem to have been a bit short of them this year. Almost no rain and therefore no clouds to show the sunsets off. Your photos are gorgeous. T'other Diane

I am not sure whether I prefer sunrises or sunsets - though I must say I only usually see sunrises when we are out camping - and then they are stunning! A bit of cloud definitely helps the patterns.
Thank you for sharing your skys with us - and Thank you for stopping by my blog today to say hi - have a wonderful week.
