I am a shell seeker. I LOVE to walk the beach and hunt for shells. I think about it…I dream about it…one day I even drove to the ocean all by myself to walk the beach! I search for trays and containers to ‘store’ my shells and I’ve found some really neat ways to display them.
But now, I’ve actually sat down with my glue and some toothpicks and a box of tiny shells and made something pretty.
Well, first I got this candle topper at the thrift store for 25 cents and put it on top of an empty candle holder.
I placed shells all around to see how they would look and then I glued them on.
I had a few tiny pearls so I glued them here and there, too.
I filled the candle holder with shells, too.
So for 25 cents and a little glue (let’s not count what it costs to go to the beach and shell seek),
meet my precious ‘Sea Shell Fairy’.
I’m linking with Nifty Thrifty Tuesday
and Knick of Time Tuesday !
Have you ever made anything with seashells?
(I still have glue and a few more seashells!)

Your little shell fairy is absolutely adorable. What a great way to showcase your pretty sea shells.
I think your little fairy is delighted with all the shells and pearls she is surrounded with.
This is soooo sweet! Such a wonderful idea. She's sitting like a queen on a throne of shells. Or like Pandora, guarding her treasures from the sea. Very well done!

Perfectly charming. She's just precious nestled with all her special shells.
Your fairy surrounded by seashells looks like she's holding a teddy bear in the last photo. It must be wonderful to walk along the beach and find so many beautiful shells.

She looks beautiful. I LOVE what you have done. And the sea shells inside the jar look wonderful. What a nice reminder of the days combing the beach for seashells. I LOVE it...

That is so adorable! You are so creative! I've made a "beach scape" in a large glass cannister with sand, shells, sea glass, and then a photo of a grandchild at the beach in the background. I gave each of my grandchildren one to remind them of our fun at the beach.

Great idea!! I always collect shells when we go on vacation...this year I collected pretty little pebbles (hopefully to mosaic a table top this winter!)

I sometimes purchase a crabmeat entree that is placed in shells.
Comes two to a package.
It is so good and I save the shells for art. LOl. The shells are pretty good size too about size of the palm of your hand.
Wow what an imagination! She is beautiful! Too bad I don't live by the ocean, Valerie
