This is one of my Thrift Store finds this week. I paid $2 and thought it would be perfect to put my hand towel over in my bathroom.
But then I couldn’t figure out how it should hang….
so I tried a few different ways.
And then I folded my towel and put it back on the counter (small elevated shelf) next to the sink.
I think it looks nice and I love the color but I’m just not sure if I want it to take up so much room on my counter.
(different towel, side view)
(Towels, soap and lotion set from Anthropologie)
Don’t forget to imagine my bathroom in a beautiful shade of slate blue. I still haven’t painted! haha!
Do you have any ‘repurposing ideas for this item….
or should I donate it back to the Thrift store?
What’s your opinion?
I need some girlfriend HELP!!!

I would place a lovely face cloth on the back rung...I don't know about you, but I am always wanting one handy. Try using both rungs and see if it is more pleasing to your eye. I wish that I had the room for such an item...I definitely don't, but it appears that you do.
I really like this. The fact that you only paid 2 bucks for is a bonus. Very nice

I'm thinking seasonal..Christmas - those little fingertip towels. If you are like me..as soon as I decide I don't need something - as soon as a get ride of it...I think of something.
Have a great weekend!
Here is am again....
I hope you get this comment..
How about hanging the hand towel on the top bar and have it drape down through the middle and then hang a wash cloth on the front bar and have it hang down in front of the hand towel.....
Hugs,
Deb
It looks like it is more for finger towels. But it does take up quite a bit of bathroom real estate! I'm not sure what else you could use it for.
It was so nice to see your name pop up in my comments! I remember you from the LVSB parties! Glad to have you following along with my new dollhouse adventures!
And as others have said here, I think that piece would be perfect for two washcloths-one draped over each rung...
Looks more like face cloths would fit better. .xoxo,Susie
I see wall space behind the rack...why don't you hang it on the wall to elevate it and place your hand towel over the front bar? XOXO
Good morning! I wanted to thank you for the birthday wishes, so very sweet of you. And I know what you mean as soon as I let go of something, I need it - must be another one of those Murphy's Law thingies.
I love towel racks but space is precious on my counter too - finger tip towels sound like a good idea. Gosh I haven't bought any of those in years LOL.
Happy weekend to you and thank you again for visiting!
It's an interesting find and if you can't figure out how to use it on a regular basis purhaps keeping it to use for holiday finger tip towels would work out for you. I wouldn't donate it back to the thrift store. Happy weekend. Hugs
I really like it too..
Have a happy day x
How about a rack for bracelets or necklaces?

I could not refrain from commenting. Well written!
Stop by my webpage - diets that work
I like debbie debbie dabble's idea and I also like Jane and Chris's idea, you'll find a use for it,
I would do it like the last photo but with both ends of the towel going over the lower bar. I really like the tower rack and LOVE Anthropologie.
Oh, I like the idea of using it for bracelets and/or necklaces. Great idea. Wouldn't that look cute! Nice find, Diane.
Vee and I had the same idea...use both rungs :)
It would also make a GREAT earring display, errr holder/rack, lol! You could see all of your earrings at a glance ;)
What a bargain! I think it's more suited to two smaller towels, the hand towel seems to take over. I was also thinking about using it to hang necklaces. I think it's a keeper.
hang jewelry from it? Earring & bracelets perhaps?
How about a fingertip towel in back and a washcloth in the front? I think it is a cute piece! xo Diana
Hang it on the wall behind where it is in the first photo.
Love all your shells scattered about.
Very nice little purchase...top bar... necklaces, middle bar bracelets... and bottom bar... earrings...
I THINK IT IS BEAUTIFUL, but just put the smaller face towels on it. Do you like French style linens? It would look fabulous with some small face towel-sized linens! DON'T GET RID OF IT!!
And thank you Diane for coming to visit! Anita
I was going to suggest smaller towels or facecloths, but if you want to go in a completely different direction, bracelet/watch/small necklace holder. I love your new header! Ann
It's tto bad the rods aren't removable...it would be great for ribbons or washi tapes.
Can you find a jar or 2 that will slip inside? Maybe use 1 for paintbrushes and 1 for water....or put flowers in them.
Maybe roll extra towels and place them inside the open space?
It's too cute to give back :)
THANKS DIANE FOR VISITING MY SHOP! And I can see there are many great ideas for this lovely piece! I also like the one commentor's idea about watches or even the ribbons...but linens....OH LÀ LÀ!! Anita
Happy Pink Saturday Diane, Looks like you got lots of great suggestions for your cute little rack. Have a great weekend. Joyous Wishes, Linda
Jewelry storage! That's what immediately popped up in my mind. Absolutely love your new header photo!!!
I'd say a smaller towel and maybe a small pretty bag of lavender (or other pot pourri), with the bag matching your decor? However such a lovely find! Or maybe elsewhere holding rolls of ribbons? Take care. Chel
I personally would hang a finger towel on the back, and a washcloth on the front. :D
I think it is a neat find. But, maybe it would work better for fingertip towels. Or washcloths. Let us know what you decide!
I really like the piece....thinking jewelry would look great on it.
Hope you are having a great weekend.
hugs,
Cindy
This almost makes me think it's made for Finger-tip towels. I'd place a solid color hand towel on the back rung and a more decorative Finger-tip towel on the front.
Great find!!

Cute towel hanger! We have one that my husband uses - it's on his side! LOL!!! Love that color you "painted" too! Ha, ha, ha!!!
I wish I had an original thought for you, but I do have to agree with everyone else - you must keep this wonderful find! I am sure you will find the perfect use for it.
Along with everyone's comments, maybe before deciding you could walk around your house. You might find another more useful spot for it somewhere other than the bathroom? I remember buying a container that was painted with orange and yellow swirls with a pretty metal handle. At the time I bought it, my first thought was to repaint and use it in my craft room. Then I got home and staring me in the face was my orange and yellow kitchen (duh to myself!). It fits perfectly on the counter to corral my honey jar, vinegar etc. and didn't have to change a thing.
