Art Show in my neighborhood

We walked over to the Art Show last weekend.

ArtIMG_1453

It always amazes me at how many talented people there are right here in my community!

ArtIMG_1457

What fun to see all of the beautiful art, greet neighbors and meet new people.

ArtIMG_1458

We enjoyed it!

ArtIMG_1462

So what’s in the bag?

We bought one painting by Marilyn ‘Mickey’ Scott entitled “Denizens of the Deep”.

ArtIMG_1478

This was the perfect spot in our living room to enjoy it!

One more photo of beautiful paintings!

That looks like fun Diane. The painting you bought is beautiful! How neat that you got to meet the artist.

We haven't been to any art shows. I'll have to be on the look out.

First, you look so young...and you are so pretty! Love your picture...and those are just wonderful paintings....love the one of the old woman looking down at her dog, and he looking up at her. I have never been to anything but an arts and craft show. I love going to them, but they always come on the weekend, and I work every weekend now (and have for 12 years), so it's been a long time since I have been to one of them!

You are so lucky Diane to have such a huge show to attend. The talent is AMAZING. I love how Marilyn captured the fish in such a mystical way. Thank you so much for taking us along. :)

Surely there is an art show in this University town I could attend?

I was always out at auctions looking for vintage treasures, never great art paintings

Your painting does fit right in your spot reserved for it

Thanks for showing it

That painting is really special and looks perfect in its new location at your house. Love the colors of it. My daughter paints, which awes me. She didn't get it from my side of the family, but her father and his sister and her paternal grandmother all painted. I haven't been to an art show in a while (except for hospital corridors).

Hello Diane,
While I was on my sweet friend, Marcia's blog, I noticed your comment talking about sugar-free candy. I used to eat sugar-free candy until I read a post that my friend at "Chatelet" wrote about Aspartame, which I think is something that sugar-free sweeteners have in common. It was very interesting to me, and you might want to read it yourself. Her blog is on my profile page, "Chatelet" and it is a recent post on Feb. 21. I just thought I'd pass the info. on to you. I love chocolate, and I can't eat sugar, like you, so I would often try sugar-free things. But after reading her post, I no longer do. Hope this helps you. I'm glad I came across you on Marcia's blog. She's such a gem. Have a nice day, Diane.

Beautiful painting. You must be a very proud owner.
What struck me most though is you all are wearing capris, shorts and sandals already. I am so jealous. We're still wearing boots and slopping around in slushy snow :(
