~BeeBee and Betsy~

I’m getting ready to find pretty dresses for my two newest dollies so I wanted to show them in their nightgowns with their bears and blankies.

When I got Toodles for my birthday in January, I named her BeeBee. The sweet lady from the Etsy store, Scarf Sister had Betsy Wetsy, too and gave me such a good deal on her, that I couldn’t pass her up. They are sisters and she wanted them to stay together. Scarf Sister doesn’t have any other dolls for sale but she makes the most beautiful scarves you’ve ever seen. She has a purple one on sale this week that is gorgeous!

Toodles was from 1960 and Betsy Wetsy from 1958….the same period of time I would have had them as a girl. So I am enjoying my two vintage dollies and they are loving the doll room.

I found the little yellow gown at the thrift store for a nickle.

The pink gown is a baby gown, too.

My girlfriend, Lynn from Present Letters sent me the 2 Raggedy Andys. Aren’t they sweet? I treasure them and my friendship with Lynn. We’re penpals and she writes the most beautiful letters. I bought the big Raggedy Ann at a White Elephant sale and posted about it HERE.

I’m feeling nostalgic this week and playing with dolls.

What are you doing this week?

Betsy Wetsy looks very familiar to me! I think I had one and named her Dodi (who knows why!) Enjoyed the post. Brought back fun memories! (except for the memory that years later my Dodi's head fell off. :-((

Oh I remember Betsy Wetsy! Never had one, but my city cousin did. Don't recall Toodles. The most memorable doll for me from that time was a "walking doll" the kind you could make walk, after a fashion. Such a good idea to dress them in newborn outfits!

BeeBee and Betsy look absolutely precious in their baby gowns!

It is so much fun for me to see how pampered and happy they look in their new home:)

You know I love your sweet dolls and this post. The little yellow gown is so pretty and what a steal! I have a Raggedy Andy that my aunt made for me when I was about 5 years old. I didn't play with him much because I loved my baby dolls but I am really glad I kept him. All of your dolls are very well dressed. Isn't doll collecting fun, even if we are all grown up? Have a blessed Easter, sweet friend!!

It's so sweet seeing those Raggedy Andy's with friends, and that their new home is so loving. All I'm doing this week is studying! Mid-Final Term today, but had to stop by. Thanks for the nice comments and hugs to you!

Betsy-Wetsy must have been around before 1958 too ...because I remember getting one for Christmas when I was about 10. And I was married with a living doll (and wet diapers ;>)) by 1958!

You have a fun collection and I do love the lady's scarves.

I like the gowns, and coincidentally they are both nice Spring colors.

And now I'm off to see those scarves. Happy Easter to you!

How I love your dollies, Diane! I remember Betsy Wetsy from my childhood days, too. My younger twin sisters had her and played with her constantly. They even had the same hairdo as their dollies.

I am such a big Raggedy Ann and Andy fan. I, too , have several that live at my house.

Happy Easter, my sweet friend.
Blessings,
