‘TRAY’ tastic!!!!

I love Seashells!

What can I say? I love everything about seashells! I love walking the beach and shell seeking, I like to sort them when I get home. And I surround myself with jars full and trays piled high.

But I’ve never painted my seashells!

I visited Upstairs Downstairs this week and saw the shells she had painted blue and I fell in love!

So off I went to get Apple Barrel gloss acrylic craft paint, in Real Navy. Thanks girlfriend for sharing your tips and your FUN!

I also stopped at the old Thrift Store and bought this little wooden tray for a quarter.

So much you can do with shells!! Like how you displayed you new blue shells. We always had hanging in our tree in the back yard a washed up tree branch with 5 or 6 fishing line of shells hanging and like a wind chime! I knew I was home when you could sit there and hear the wind blow and clang the sea shells against each other!!

What a pretty display! Don't you love getting inspiration from visiting someone's blog and then adding your own spin to it? I love what you did with your shells and the tray? Amazing find, lucky lady!!

They are lovely in your bathroom. I saw some recently on a blog that were painted white then glittered. They looked amazing on a silver tray with tea candles. So I did some too. I'm so pleased with them. The ideas are endless with shells, don't you think, and they are free. :)
