Tea Cups and Good Friends

Over the years, I’ve bought odd tea cups and saucers at thrift stores.

Now I have a pretty little collection and a nice place to display them.

I found this beautiful curio cabinet at the thrift store and loaded it up with one shelf of Kim Andersen figurines and a shelf of old tea cups.

I love the little cabinet and I’m sure I’ll change it up from time to time.

This week, I received a surprise gift from my girlfriend Becky (HERE) and it seemed just perfect! Thanks Becky!

Look at all those pretty teacups. I just gave away my very last to a blogging friend in a teacup exchange I signed up for. Actually, I have one more but it's too special to give away, a gift from a friend when my dad passed away. I've given so many away. Fun thing is that I'll be receiving one any minute. Yay! Don't you just love bloggy friends.
Off to your next post.

Awww, thank you, Diane! You're very sweet to mention me, but Ah Shucks, ma'am, it was nothin'! :)
Love your collection. I also had quite a few that I gave away, took to Goodwill, and to a thrift shop, when we moved last March! I thought about sending my tea cup bloggy friends some of them....but I was afraid they might break. Towels are much easier to mail! :)

A great little display piece for sure and I really like how you just stacked some of the lone cups on top of each other -- I would have never thought of that!

Love your collection of pretty cups Diane.
Mis-matched china is a favourite of mine and I'm always on the lookout for flowery cups and saucers to mix and match!

I'm just back from France and slowly making my way around the traps again!

I LOVE all your mismatched teacups and saucers! I went to a tea shop once, where they had made all the overhead lighting from mismatched teacups. They were the prettiest chandeliers I have ever seen!

What a wonderful way to display your pretty cups and saucers! Thanks for the comment about my washi tape. Craft stores with coupons are a great place to buy them, Michaels, Hobby Lobby and JoAnn's. The prettiest ones have come from Scrapbook stores! Have a nice weekend! Twyla
