Oh, how I love my ‘prims’!
This year I’m decorating with vintage and prims and I’m loving it all!
Two years ago I won a HUGE giveaway sponsored by Primitive and Folk Artists - a team of talented artists! Some of these items were made by these talented ladies, some I made and others I bought from Etsy and the thrift store.
My giveaway post is HERE if you missed it.
It’s so much fun to get all of my treasures out and decorate with prims.
It helps to have my new bookcases to really show them off.
The other side…
And this year I won a primitive snowman from my girlfriend, Wendy at Ravenwood Whimzies.
So he found a special place to sit and I provided a little ‘snow’ to make him feel at home.
I’m joining Beautiful Sunday,
and Amaze me Monday!
What is your style of decorating this year?
Happy weekend!

Hi Diane, oh your prims are so decorative and perfect on your new gorgeous bookcase. I love the wonderful variety you have collected and won. I used to paint and design only primitives at one time for my shop. Then shabby chic hit. LoL. I still like to create folk art though and still decorate with my favorites. This year I have decorated traditional with natural elements and touches of red along with neutrals too.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and all the best in the new year.
Hugs!
That looks so pretty and festive. Love it!
I love Xmas/winter prims too. Very cute and old-fashioned looking!
Love your prims, especially displayed along with your books which I know you love so much.
Decorating style for me this year is SIMPLICITY. We should have been in our permanent home by now, but it looks like this transitional house season has extended a bit and I was almost rebelling with my Christmas decor, until my husband brought home a table top tree that I decorated with starfish and burlap, followed by our floor tree decorated with 28 years worth of ornaments and plenty of red and green plaid. My favorite decorations; however, are the cards that arrive in the mail with warm wishes from beautiful friends like you, sis. Thank you.
Wishing you a very merry.

I love your collection of Prims-wonderful!
The primitive art is just beautiful. I love them.
It all looks so festive on your bookcase! I am trying to switch things up this year and get out of my rut of putting the same old things in the same old spots each year. That means some things didn't come out this year at all so THAT is quite a change for me.
Diane I love how everything looks in your home. I am decorating with vintage and some newer vignettes. lots of toys in my home this year also! Wishing you a wonderful Christmas! Love ya Sis, Linda
I have an assortment of things, some fancy, some vintage, things my kids made, you name it. I love that you have everything where you can enjoy looking at it through the day...that's what I like to do. I really like your new snowman, he'll be special to you. Blessings for a fabulous week, xoxo,Susie
Merry Christmas,
Dottie Diane
i like the sideways santa with the bell. very cute collection.
I love the country feel of all your "prims" (didn't know that is what we call them now!). They look very snug tucked in your bookcases. Merry Christmas! Wendy xox
Oh my, what a wonderful selection of gifts you won and they all look lovely displayed in your home.
Wow! That was quite a giveaway that you won. Lots of cute things! Our style is quite eclectic for Christmas decorating. We use ornaments and decorations we've collected over the years. We've added some new trees this year and we try to add a few new decorations each year.
Diane, your collection's are lovely.
Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
they are absolutely adorable!!!!
All your prims look sweet :)

I used to decorate our home with country and primitive style then realized I had a lot of cottage and farmhouse style hand me downs so changed my style. But, I still love the primitive/country look and colours for their cosiness and homey appeal especially in the fall and at Christmas. You have some cute things Diane. This year I decorated in a mix of cottage/vintage/nature. A fun mix. :)
They are so cute. Have a wonderful Christmas.
Merry Christmas Diane -- and thank you for your beautiful posts; I've enjoyed them all year!
Diane, you lucky girl! You're on a roll winning giveaways, and it couldn't happen to a nicer person. The primitive decor you won is so much fun, some talented crafters for sure. I used to use quite a bit of primitive things I crafted myself but now I'm enamoured with a cottage victorian look.
How I'd like to personally browse your bookcases, I know you read a lot of good books.
Merry Christmas.
Judith
What a wonderful collection you have with one piece complementing another. So many of my Christmas things are different, but they don't seem to mind being seen together.
Your book cases are the perfect thing for holding your expanding collection. Merry Christmas. Valerie
I could just move right in and be at home with all your prims. I decorated with my prims this year and think I will continue this new tradition. The snowman you won is adorable. I love the way each of your characters has a different personality.
Your prims are lovely. How fun to win things that add to your collection.
My style? Simple, pared down, nature elements - it's hard to pin it down. But good food for thought.
What a lot of wonderful prim-ilicioius goodies you have there! I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas, Diane! Are you ever on facebook?
Love,
Tracy
They all look so cute Diane. Love the elf on the shelf! It's vintage decorating all the way with me. Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas.
I like you fun decorating style. Merry Christmas!
I like your display of prims. :D
I hope y'all have a great Christmas!

Very cute decorations. I like a little country … and they are sweet with a lot of detail. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
Hello Dear Diane
Your Christmas vignettes with your vintage pieces and prims look just so sweet. You have such an eye for arranging them so beautifully.
Thank you for your lovely comment on my Christmas post and I wish for you a most joyous and peaceful Christmas and a really inspirational New Year.
Christmas hugs to you,
Suzy
I love your Prims collection. A very cute display! Wishing you and yours a very merry Christmas!
Your decorating for the holidays is so pretty and like you ...I love it all....vintage, primitive, passed down...it's all wonderful at Christmas time.
My decorating this year has been very little. I got some outside decorations up when it was warm then we had the snow here for a week and couldn't get out then torrential rains and the sump pump went out but at least I got the presents in the mail and now I'm taking the dog to the vet today so who knows if I'll get anything up! LOL! I'll probably rely on my Aunt's ceramic Christmas tree and make some Christmas cookies today. Have a wonderful and Merry Christmas!
So many wonderful prims to share, love your decor Diane, I see some in there that I made
Merry Christmas to you
Brenda
