Trying to be good…Thrift Finds

My second trip to a thrift store this year! (I didn’t shop for 2 whole months! lol) Half price day for linens and Christmas so my total was less than $10 and I got some things I really ‘needed’!

IMG_2267

A new coffee mug from Pier 1 and it’s a design that I have a little dish already. How sweet to start Spring with this new mug.

IMG_2265

And when you go the first time and find a wooden cigar box…

IMG_2261

you’ll most certainly find another one the next time, too!

My favorite finds were this little towel

(folded in half)

IMG_2268

and this old linen tablecloth.

(and yes, they both have a hole in them but I didn’t even care)

IMG_2270

A BIG Christmas tablecloth with matching napkins…

IMG_2271

and some Christmas pretties.

IMG_2256

I know these say OLE right now but maybe I’ll find another one some day!

IMG_2259

And this gorgeous platter that I’ll probably put a Spring vignette on.

All of this fun for under $10.

You can’t beat that can you?

Cigar anyone?

Great finds. I like the cigar box and the tablecloths. I have a weakness for tablecloths and need to find a way to repurpose them.

OLE could also be LEO. Or E.L.O. for the 70's band Electric Light Orchestra. :-) xo

Amazing finds! I will stop by in my favorite one tomorrow when I go to town. I always end up with books though for a quarter or a dollar, paperback - hardcover. But it is so much fun just to look at old stuff.

Great finds. I am trying to break the thrift store habit, but my daughter eggs me on, but you have to have the right timing. I'd buy the vintage linens, too, because the new stuff may not have holes, but it also lacks the quality.

I love the mug! It does say Spring. I think I need to get out some of my springer mugs to make me feel less blue. Love the linens and the ole angels well you can always add a red N before them if the other angel does not show up. Someone had to save them! Big Hugs to you!

You did well! I explored the local Salvation Army and had two great finds for under four dollars. I bought the serving dish -- very springy! -- for a gift, but I think it's staying here.

You found many terrific items at the Thrift store, Diane. The carolers are sweet.

What wonderful finds. A cigar box is really not easy to find. I have been looking for an old snuff/tobacco tin for years. The platter has a really pretty roses pattern :)

I, too, thought of the singing group ELO! AND, LEO, and OLE' !!
Oh, I'll pass on the cigar, but love the box!
