I get a lot of enjoyment from thrift store finds!
And when I saw this little doll bed for $2, I knew it would be perfect for the doll room.
It was a little rough but I took a damp cloth and cleaned it up in the garage.
And then I placed a vintage towel in the bottom and looked around for baby quilts.
I ended up choosing an old pillow sham (from another trip to the thrift store).
Then I took the second sham and folded it up like a pillow.
Betsy got to climb out of the baby crib and have her very own bed, along with her sleepy time bear and a kitten.
I just love playing with something like this.
(Betsy is a Lloyd Middleton doll)
$2 brought me a lot of happiness this week.
I’m joining the Vintage Inspiration Link party HERE,
and Ivy and Elephants.
Don’t forget to
Take time to PLAY!!!

So cute, Diane. The doll bed is vintage and what a find. Never find good stuff like that here at thrift stores. Good stuff ends up on garage sales then in pricey antique malls. Baby Betsy looks so comfortable in her new bed. Of course, we must play.
Good morning, dear Diane! Your doll bed is simply perfect and the sham (clever idea, by the way) is very sweet - it looks like a hand sewn quilt :)
I agree, take time to play! Thanks for the reminder, my friend. And thanks for sharing with Roses of Inspiration. Hugs to you!
That is just adorable - $ 2.00 well spent my friend.
Nice finds, Diane! I'm sure your dolls come alive at night and party while you're sleeping! :-)
The doll bed is adorable, but not as cute as your dolls! Smiles here!
hugs,
Linda
