We had such a fun Sunday afternoon at this beautiful Florida State Park. The website is HERE.
The house was beautiful, built in the mid 1800s!
But of course, all I could SEE were FENCES!
I have enough photos for a ‘month of good fences!
This old split rail fence was a favorite.
Here we are walking past this HUGE cedar tree to the house. (my hubby is 6 ft tall!!!)
And then when we turned around to leave, I saw the hodgepodge at the fence corner.
I wonder if anyone was told to do this job and did it in a hurry!

Someone did go to a loto\ of work on the fences. You must wonder what they were trying to contain. Great photos.
What a great old house and I love the cedar split rail fencing. That tree is really huge! It looks like a nice park to visit. Have a great day!
The "hodgepodge" corner is certainly interesting. I would say someone was in a hurry, or they were desperate for materials. Great looking old cottage.
Enjoy the sunshine
just loving the fence and trees!! so very beautiful! thanks, diane!
What an interesting park - love the old house especially - and the fences. It does look like someone hurried up to finish a job in that one corner.
What a neat place!!

On the hodgepodge fence; whatever works.
Nice photos.
What a beautiful place! I can see so many things to take pictures of. Including the fences of course. That place would be heaven for taking pictures and exploring!
The rustic fences are the best...but you do have to wonder about that one by the tree?
I love th way that rustic fence is made.
Very artsy for being done in a hurry! I mean, it is really cool. What a neat little trip back in time. Your header is so pretty. Is that your parked bike?
What a neat place to visit. The moss hanging from the trees fascinates me. Great split rail fencing and yes the end of the fence is a bit of a hodgepodge but also cool. Just like that amazing tree.
Hello, what a great post..Filled with fences and the beautiful tree. Looks like a great park to visit, thanks for sharing. Have a happy day!
That tree is gigantic! Fun day. :)
I love the fences and that house is charming with the flowers surrounding it. Pretty place!
Diane, Remember an old movie called , "The Yearling"? That tall fence makes me think of the one built to keep the young deer out of the garden. That tree is really something. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
Great photos of the historical site. Split rail fences are just beautiful when cared for. Love the huge tree, too. Have a great weekend!

Beautiful Diane! I love the house but the fences are so neat. That last one made me laugh--if I had to build a fence, it would look like that one, LOL! Hope you have a great weekend my friend!

The one who fenced the tree goes to the end of the class. But what a place! So full of character!

Isn't it funny how we all notice fences so much more since Good Fences on runaroundranch!! Have a great weekend, friend.
super excellent....what a great series of the fence lines.
That last fence is the best! Looks like they were running out of wood and just threw it up with whatever they had left! Or maybe a kid fence builder was practicing LOL!
Great shots of the house and that very tall tree!
lovin' those trees as much as the pretty fence!!!!
I imagine whoever did that last little ensemble was not monitored by anyone of authority. LOL! Cool fences, and a neat house.
such a wonderful and interesting place:)
That looks like an interesting walk! Love the old house. I have a partial cedar split rail fence on my property that looks just like that and it made me smile.
Great split rail fences Diane, what a lovely spot!
This is a bonus of a place to be.
Picture Haven.
Such a nice place to walk and see.
Yes fences how great for Good fences.
Know one can get tired of fences, barns, birds, scenery.
I enjoyed all.
The house is for the win! I love it and I wonder what was its past life in 1800s.
Wonderful photos and what a great old place to visit! :)
