A Neighborhood ‘critter’!

Our backyard joins the golf course in our community.

And what a surprise to see this gopher tortoise out for an ‘afternoon of golf’!

Hubby put her in a safer place but when we checked later, she had moved on.

Maybe to the nineteenth hole.

I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE.

My hubby plays golf and has seen lots of animals on the course but never a tortoise! Bet yours needed the 19th hole after all that excitement!

Tortoise on the move. I like tortoises for their seeming ambivalence to life's ups and downs.

He probably liked the green grass! Whenever we see those tortoises they are on a dusty road! Take care of Florida until we get back )))!

It's such a great feeling to rescue a tortoise to a safer place. We took one out of the street the other day. :)

19th hole? Hmmm...time for some R & R from all that walking on the course!

We also back a golf course. Maybe I should be on the lookout for a tortoise to share for our grand kids, I loved them as a child and would rescue them as they cross the highway. Enjoy your day!

Great pictures! I wonder if her shell would protect her from stray golf balls? But better safe than sorry for sure.

Hope she doesn't find a lost golf ball and decide to hatch it. Now, that would be funny.

Our gopher tortoises are not very visible this year, I see evidence in my yard, new burrows but rarely see them. I must stay home more!

Great shots. Hubby is being a good man for the nature

aspects of it. Turtle did need a human lift or critter would take all day to get to his destination.

Besides the guys want to Play Golf.
