Our backyard joins the golf course in our community.
And what a surprise to see this gopher tortoise out for an ‘afternoon of golf’!
Hubby put her in a safer place but when we checked later, she had moved on.
Maybe to the nineteenth hole.
I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE.

Hello Diane, cool shots and closeups of your gopher tortoise! Definitely a neat neighborhood critter! Thank you for linking up and sharing your post! Have a happy weekend!
yes probably straight to the 19th! Great shots of it. Have a lovely weekend.

My hubby plays golf and has seen lots of animals on the course but never a tortoise! Bet yours needed the 19th hole after all that excitement!
Tortoise on the move. I like tortoises for their seeming ambivalence to life's ups and downs.
A golfing turtle! *giggles* Great photos of hime, Diane!

He probably liked the green grass! Whenever we see those tortoises they are on a dusty road! Take care of Florida until we get back )))!
It's such a great feeling to rescue a tortoise to a safer place. We took one out of the street the other day. :)
What a beautiful close up! Your hubby is a sweetie to help him/her to safety!
He's a big one! He must enjoy golfing!

Diane, That is so nice of your husband to put the turtle in a safer place. You guys see a little bit of everything down there. :):) Your weather looks good. Today we are having nice weather.Hot but dry and sunny. Blessings dear friend, xoxo,Susie
19th hole? Hmmm...time for some R & R from all that walking on the course!
We also back a golf course. Maybe I should be on the lookout for a tortoise to share for our grand kids, I loved them as a child and would rescue them as they cross the highway. Enjoy your day!
Nice turtle! I hope she lays eggs and makes lots of little ones.

I hope your'e enjoying your summer my dear friend. Kinda hot there isn't it? Dreaming of cool mountain breezes yet?
Well, isn't that a cute turtle! Thanks for sharing your wonderful pictures with us. Hug!
Cute turtle! Glad you moved her to a safer spot.
Turtle Golf - a very slow game.
Great pictures! I wonder if her shell would protect her from stray golf balls? But better safe than sorry for sure.
How cute and adorable.... glad you all moved him to a safer place.
pretty greens..
Hope that turtle knows all about "fore." Your hubby is a good friend to the golf course critters.
I've never seen a Gopher Turtle. He is a cutie! Glad your hubby moved him.
Hope she doesn't find a lost golf ball and decide to hatch it. Now, that would be funny.
Great shots of the turtle!
Awwww! So cute! And so nice of your husband to have put her in a safer place, even if ms tortoise ended up somewhere else.
Take care my friend,
Arlette
How beautiful Diane in all respects from seeing the turtle to the kindness extended to it by your husband.

How sweet of your hubby to help the turtle:)
Great photos.
Hugs,
Marie
Our gopher tortoises are not very visible this year, I see evidence in my yard, new burrows but rarely see them. I must stay home more!
Great shots. Hubby is being a good man for the nature
aspects of it. Turtle did need a human lift or critter would take all day to get to his destination.
Besides the guys want to Play Golf.
What a cool picture of the turtle - he's a BIG ONE!

What a cutie, hope she moved on to safety!
