McIntosh 1890’s Festival for 2015 !

It was HUGE this year with a record number of people turning out to enjoy a festive day!

McIntosh 1890’s Festival home page is HERE and their Facebook page is HERE.

We’ve been several times but we’ve never seen this many people there.

And what a treat to have such a nice variety of vendors. I’ve never seen so many ‘prims’ or had so many Raggedy Anns to choose from. (that’s my festival weakness, although I did buy a new bracelet that I forgot to photograph.

It was fun to see Samantha again this year. Her shop is HERE. Of course I couldn’t resist her little Halloween Annie.

And I met Mare and she also makes Raggedy Anns and lots of cute things. She has a Facebook page HERE.

Have you ever seen a cuter little button nose? I got the scary ghost from her too! (and I made the little black cat last year and it jumped in the photo shoot)

We walked a country mile from where we parked and then up and down the streets trying to visit close to 300 booths filled with amazing arts and crafts.

It seems like Fall now here in Florida!

I’m joining Beautiful Sunday and

Lavender Cottage for Mosaic Monday.

Love your new babies, Miss Lavender Dreams. It's real dark and gloomy here this morning and raining. Think I'll go snuggle on the bed with the puppies and take a nap.

Hugs

Those craft fairs are always so much fun. My mother in law nearly supported herself by sewing year round for the craft season. We'd go to nearly every one. I was always drawn to the rag dolls, one a Raggedy Ann, is my fav. I have to keep them put away now because of the dog. Yours was a huge show. How did you get through it all?

My goodness - that is a LOT of people - I can see how it would be hard to get near to a booth. The dolls are just too too cute - love the purple dress, and the Halloween ones are delightful. Clever kitty - getting into the picture so quick like that. I think they will have a boo-tiful time on Halloween. Hugs and Halloween bugs!!!

What an amazing craft show. We have something similar in the summer along the waterfront of the town north of us and I've purchased some really neat things. I hope we can find some good places to browse when we come down.

aahh, cute raggedy ann dolls. It looks like you had a fun time, Diane. My mom made Nel a raggedy ann doll when she was a little girl, and she still has it to this day. Cloth dolls are sweet, aren't they?

love, ~Sheri

oh wow that festival sure does look like fun! I love big outdoor fairs and festivals such as that one! I adore the cloth dolls......such cute ones there you have! I have always loved RAggedy Ann and Andy...you know---the original ones. They sure are hard to find nowadays. A year or two ago went to get granddaughter one and guess what? NOBODY sold them or even knew what they were! (young sales help) can you even imagine being in that age group to where you dont even know what Raggedy Ann is.......wow. LOL You used to could go find Raggedy Ann and Andy soft rag dolls anywhere......not now I guess. I have four and I will treasure mine all the more now

I just love craft fairs like that! The trouble is, you have to remember where a booth is if you want to return to it later, or buy something right away! Looks like you did well! Cute little dolls!

I ended up not driving home through Ocala but went to West Palm Beach instead so crossed the state on Rt 60. I did attend a great festival in Stuart, FL but not as big as this one! Amazing!! It does seem like Fall here!!

What a fun craft fair! Oh my. I'd have to be in my most comfortable walking shoes for that one but it would be so much fun to explore all the different vendors. Your dolls are very sweet Diane. I hope you have a lovely week. Hugs. Pam
