We love to hike and we always find beauty on the trails and along the rivers and swamps here in Florida.
These were just a few flowers that we saw on the hike we took beginning at the Blue Run Park in Dunnellon.
The tree is a Bald Cypress.
According to Wikipedia HERE, “Unlike most other species in the family Cupressaceae, it is deciduous, losing its leaves in the winter months, hence the name 'bald'.”
The bird is a pine warbler. We’ve had dozens of warblers, gold finches and chipping sparrows return to our feeders this week. They are always fun to see.
And for the unexpected?
The artists that work at the The Cutting Edge Hair Studio were painting the windows when I arrived to get my hair cut last week. I think everyone in there is artistic. And a special thanks to Pam for making me beautiful all year round. (or at least trying to! haha)
I’m joining Beautiful Sunday and
Lavender Cottage for Mosaic Monday.
I hope you’ll all go to my recent post HERE

Beautiful! I bet a lot of birds migrate to Florida in the winter.
You really do have the best hiking adventures. The paintings on your beauty salon are out of this world!!
Excuse me, may I please put in a request ;)...I need those Warblers to return to KY, because I am really missing them...a bunch. I love them and they migrate to and from my yard. In the big city of Louisville there are 5 different species of Warblers that remain here. Bless them, I hope they can survive this Winter coming~
Goregous tree! Love the murals too. Fun!
Your pictures are just beautiful! Love the reflection in the water. Homes and businesses alike are decorating and everything looks so festive. Wishing you a nice Monday!
So pretty! I love how you enjoy your hikes together!
hugs,
Linda
Smiles Diane, I so enjoyed your photos.
Awesome shots in the swamp area of the trees and wildflowers lavender sis. Now there's a hair studio getting everyone in the spirit with Santa and a nativity.
I'm off to check out your holiday cheer giveaway!
Your pictures are lovely, as always! Enjoyed my visit and you know I'll be back.
Diane, Oh yes, that is an artist...I love all those pictures. I love the swamp photos too. You sure are seeing some wonderful things. Blessings to you and your husband. xoxo,Susie
Absolutely gorgeous, my friend! You live in such a wonderful area and see so much beauty.
Happy Monday! Hugs!
Another beautiful spot to hike...and lovely fall color especially the Bald Cypress...I have a small one...I wonder if it will ever get that big. I will have to keep it in check....and I agree the stylists are very artistic as you can see from those paintings. Happy Holidays!
Beautiful pine warbler. And the hair dressers did a wonderful job on the windows.
Gosh, I read two posts and left all my comments on the Giveaway post, so sorry. I love the birds, watching them and feeding them. I am amazed bald cypress trees can grow in water. They are so beautiful. We have camped at a Delaware State Park where the northernmost stand of bald cypress trees is.
Hello, the trees and flowers are gorgeous. I like the swamp images and the pretty warbler. The decorated windows are wonderful, the artist are talented. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!
Beautiful colors in the swamp...love the yellows.
Very meaningful window paintings, too!

What beautiful areas where you walk and the little bird is so pretty! What a fun looking salon and yes, they make you pretty all year long! ;) I love your Christmasy banner.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Diane,
Hi, how are you? Another beautiful spot in Florida! The bird is so pretty! I saw my very first black squirrel right in my own backyard. I don't believe they are native to these parts but I thought of you immediately as I remember your post about a black squirrel. I will keep my eyes out now for yellow birds, lol!
xoxo

Oh that tree and bird! You see the most amazing things on your hikes.
Beautiful nature pictures. I like the paintings on the windows as well.

You make the swamp look like a beautiful place! The warbler is lovely. Great shot. It's fun seeing all the painted windows around at this time of year. Your hair salon has some great talent.
That is a gorgeous shot of the sweeping branches of the bald cypress. Such a pretty colour too. The Christmas windows at your hair salon are amazing! Great work ... and what a surprise is right!

That tree is gorgeous as it's shedding it's "hair"! Love all the diefferent shades of yellows and golds. Those are some really great paintings on the windows...very talented folks in more way than one!
