Most of the time I try to keep my bookcases 'clutter free'.
But then when you have lots of pretty Christmas things to display,
bookcases make the perfect spot to show them off.
(we have 9 bookcases in our living room)

Wow 9 bookcases....I have 3 and keep a few Santas on them year round...I think bookcases are perfect to display decorations. Merry Christmas to you and yours my friend!

This is "quiet week" here, everything is done and ready for Christmas so I love to just have quiet time enjoying the decorations and the soft lighting from the trees and other lighted decoration.

I had huge bookcases with storage in our downstairs of our other home. None here. I bought one tall skinny one and will look for more. I have thought about having some built it. Love all those vintage Christmas decorations. Merry Christmas.

I like to use our bookcase shelves for vignettes too. My husband would say, any flat surface. Ha! Actually, I try not to over do it this time of year.

My house gets a little cluttered over the holidays too, but we have so many memories to display we can't give anything up! Well girlfriend, it certainly is not going to be a white Christmas here in Florida....That's ok, but wish we weren't breaking heat records!

Your bookshelf decorations are so festive! The snowmen are just so cute, Diane. I found a spot on my kitchen shelf for a "Mrs. Claus" nutcracker & was I ever happy! Merry Christmas, my friend, to you & your hubby!

Merry Christmas to both of you! Even without all the beautiful decorations, I would have a serious case of bookshelf envy by the way! Tthey are pretty much the one and only thing I miss about our " big house" ( as our then three year old granddaughter called our home, when we still had I both it and our RV).
I do the same thing Diane. Bookcases are the perfect spot to display some Christmas decor. My large family room bookcase gas all my Santa collection displayed on it right now. Love it!

I know what you mean between the books and the decorations it can be a challenge. I'll trying to part with some things but it isn't easy! LOL! I love your decorations and I see your Jan Karon books....just like my collection. Have you read her new one? I want to re-read them again before I read the new one. Did you hear there was a tornado in Holly Springs, Mississippi the other day.
