You just never know what you’ll see when you travel.
And sometimes you can’t tell WHAT in the WORLD you ARE seeing from a distance.
I thought it looked like a dog from a distance and when we got a little closer my hubby thought it looked like a bird.
No…it’s just a skull of some sort on top of a post on top of a mailbox.
But it had a fence in the background so I’m sharing the pics today
and joining Tex for Good Fences!
Enjoy your life wherever the road takes you!

Hello, it is amazing what you can see riding on the back roads. Nice gate and entrance. The longhorns and skull are a neat decor for their mailbox. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day and weekend!
very funky! i like the gate with the bike parked near it. :)
Diane, That is so funny. I love the fancy gate and fence...but for me that mailbox would have to go. :):) Blessings, xoxo, Susie
Morning, well, that is very different, cute iron fence.Blessings Francine.
Love that fence with the bicycle behind it! Kind of looks like something pictured out of a magazine. Doesn't really seem to go hand in hand with the skull. Interesting though..... Hope your day is grand.
hOW WONDERFUL WE DO NOT ALL SHARE THE SAME TASTE.
Eek ...that is strange sight. ;-)
I like the bike along the fence.

Hello!:) That's a very nice entrance gate. There are even red flowers poking out from behind the mailbox, and the skull does draw ones eyes towards the mailbox from a distance,...enough said!!
we too, see the strangest things sometimes, usually when we travel the back roads. the gate is pretty, with the bike. i find bikes enhance most scenes!!!
A rather weird sculpture, but a beautiful gate behind it!
Isn't that fun! I saw a similarly crazy one once.
How long do you drive around before you find these items to photograph? You find the oddest things! I do think it helps to have a driver. I drive alone so I must keep my eyes on the road otherwise I would probably see lots of interesting and unique things here in AR too. I need to get myself a chauffeur! LOL! And a good camera!
Wow, that's wild! Quirky to say the least.
....just a tad bizarre.
Like the gate tho, with the bike.
Nice surprise to go with your fence!
LOL- I think it looks like a flying prehistoric creature myself. GREAT fences though. Hope you are doing well. We were just in FL for a few days-on the East coast. I was so glad to be by the ocean for a bit. xo Diana
Wow! That will keep the evil spirits away! Lol! Love the bike behind the gate :) x Karen
I've seen those but NEVER up on top of a mailbox! ha ha LOl So strange...
That is the first for me! It's interesting to see the diverse taste there is in a sculpture.
Now THAT is quite an interesting find, Diane! I do love that bike in front of the pretty gate too! I hope you enjoy a lovely July 4th weekend...hugs!
That is totally creepy but in the owner's eyes it's probably beautiful. :)
Well they certainly have unusual taste in yard decor.
A little bizarre!!!
But I do like the fence, especially with the bike against it - great photo.
All the best Jan
Truly a very special pole with letterbox Diane :-) This would really you in Islander Country not encounter hahahaha ... Wonderful to see and a nice link for Theresa :-)
Kind regards, Helma
Love those interesting finds along the way. Fabulous fence too. Happy weekend sweetie. See you on Wednesday.
Not to my taste but the fence is nice.
