Traveling the backroads has it’s rewards.
Imagine our surprise when we passed this beautiful church one day.
And yes…we passed it! We were on our way somewhere else and decided to come back when we had time to take a few photos.
The sky was a pale blue with puffy white clouds and the church couldn’t have been more beautiful.
It is the St. John’s Methodist Church established in 1852.
And if that wasn’t enough!
Look at the tiny replica out in this grassy area.

I love it...I cannot pass an old church. They are so interesting.
The church is beautiful, and so high. Did you go inside? I wonder if there are two stories to the church. Very interesting. And what fun to have a model outside.
Such a beautiful church! And the miniature one is just adorable. I would like to go to a service there just to get to see the inside. It must be incredible. Those old churches were built to last!

It always amazes me to see a church that old in such pristine condition. Loving parishioners over the years have kept it, and the grounds up and even built a small replica. How cool is that!

My FIL was a Methodist pastor for over 40 years, but none of his churches were this pretty, Diane. The scroll work and the roses are beautiful!
I just love old churches they have such solid features and windows in them
I like going in old catholic churches especially St Peters cathedral In New York City it is just fabulous
