We don’t get to do any hiking in the summer months here but we do get in the Subaru and take lots of drives.
I just love looking around at the beauty that surrounds us!
I’ve shared some of our sightings in other posts but I always end up with a few photos that don’t ‘fit in’.
So I guess I’ll share a bit of a hodgepodge today.
I think most everything is ‘self explanatory’.
Well maybe I need to mention this is a pink elephant alongside the road!
And do you see what I see in this photo?
Does it look like a monster is coming out of a giant egg right on the river bank?
You just never know! Maybe it IS!!!

Loved seeing all the extra pictures Diane!!
Diane, I love seeing what you do while driving around. We don't see many pink elephants here. LOL I love to see kayaks...they have such pretty colors. Blessings for a fun day. xoxo, Susie
Now you have got me SCARED!!
Glad I found your blog -- I'm enjoying your posts! Carol
I love my 'here and there' days too. :)
Always get a kick out of your post Dianne.
Oh my, Diane. I didn't realize that I am so far behind in visiting. I've missed several of you posts. I love the raccoons, but cut as they are, they'd ransack the chicken house here. I will try to be more diligent at getting around. I always enjoy your view on Florida. And thanks for visiting the dollhouse, for it is a quiet little blog that gets little traffic.
That's the fun of a jaunt out and about, you never know what's around the next corner!
Have fun!
Does look like a 'monster coming of the water' ~ lovely photos!
Wishing you a Happy Weekend coming up ~
:-) A MONSTER ... RUN!
Hello Diane!:)Yes, it's like an adventure when you go for a drive, you never know what you will see. The egg with monster, and pink elephant are my favourite pictures. Have a nice day!:)
Helo, I enjoyed your hodgepodge of images. The first sky shot is pretty, I like the clouds. The trees and river images are beautiful. LOL, I have never seen a pink elephant. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!
Hi There, YES---when we can't hike, we love to get out and take drives also... You got some great and interesting pictures on your drive...
I do have a question for you... Why do you go to FL in Summer? Many people around here who have two homes usually go south in WINTER and north in Summer...
But--we've had a very hot summer (hottest I can remember since moving up here on the Cumberland Plateau in 2003) and it's been VERY dry... SO--even though I have always said that I would never prefer to be in FL in Summer, maybe this summer has changed my mind..... ha
Hugs,
Betsy
Wow, what wonderful pictures. Nature at its best!!!! Blessings Francine.
Hodgepodges always have something great mixed in.
Love your drive around photos - the lake is gorgeous.
No pink elephants in Eugene (yet anyway) and no rock-eating monster fish either. Florida looks beautiful this time of year -- thank you for the update. (Though I can imagine it is not hiking weather there!)
What fun photos, Diane! We have a pink elephant like that in our neighborhood too. Lol Watch out for that sea creature! Have a great weekend.
Hi Diane! Oh, you always take great snaps and yes, I do believe that is a monster appearing! :) I hope you got back in your car very fast! Thanks for popping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
i like your imagination and finds. :)
You never know what you'll see on your travels! Yes, it does look like a monster is being born!
Love the photos!! They really ARE self explanatory!
I always enjoy your photos, sweet friend. You live in an area where there always seems to be adventure :)
Thank you for the delightful visit to my blog - your comments always warm my heart. Hugs!
It's not often one sees a Pink Elephant!
Also in your first shot the cloud looks like a "heart" - How neat is that. - Enjoyed your random photos.
Love the close-up of the lily pad. And yes, well I think so anyway...I see a huge fish-like creature getting ready to gnaw on the 'egg'. To the right? Am I right?
Exceptional wonders ....thanks for taking us along.
Ii love your hodgepodge of photos and thank you for sharing. What I can not understand is how anyone can be brave enough (or foolish enough) to kayak in Florida, don't they know that some of those alligators are bigger than their kayaks?
I wanna go for a nice quite drive and see monsters LOL and pink elephants
I haven't seen a pink elephant by the road here yet, but I did see an almost full-size giraffe in the front yard of a house right across the street from a house we were looking at. It would be a hoot to see it everyday when I went to the mailbox!
Love the pink elephant!
Love all your photo's, great to see
All the best Jan
Cute post. You certainly make Florida look good (not that it isn't, but you're always visiting something interesting.) Have a good weekend!
Hi Diane, So nice to visit you again. I always Love your pictures and I see the monster, lol.
Blessings,
Marlene
Haha! Fun hodge-podge, Diane! Love the pink elephant! Remember 'pink elephant' sales? Loved those! xx Karen
Did you notice the heart-shaped cloud? Random photos are the best. They are not only pretty, but interesting and filled with wonder. :)

Great diversity - love the pink elephant a lot. I like finding random things - one day I missed my chance - didn't start taking pictures until too late to make anything of it - but as we were taking a drive I kept seeing chairs sitting out beside the road - usually for free or sometimes for a cheap price - all kinds of chairs. I kept saying - maybe today is "put your chairs out" day. Wish I'd taken pictures - it was still fun.
